Another update, wow!
:) So, sweptawaybayou and I were talking about writing, and about how both of us are kind of struggling with that right now. Having stress, having poor motivation, having blocks. She was telling me that her reading fluffy and fun Steve/Bucky fic was motivating her to write (yay! Snow-fic!), and I was telling her that re-watching (and reading) The Expanse was motivating me to write finish the J2 Space AU.

And I just rewatched episode 7 of season 2, and ( I don't know if anyone's watching, but spoilers!! )

I want to be able to put that into my writing, that absolute *hammerblow* of emotion, of pathos, of love and courage and empathy....
*sniffles*

Anyway - yeah. So that makes me get back to serious Space AU work.


My request! I wrote two fic, waaaaaaaaaay back in the day.
Day in the Life. Pre-series, gen, PG. The boys being brothers, John being a father, and the origin of Rumsfeld the dog.

Brightness Falls From the Air. Gen, PG-13, immediate post-season-1 ficlet. At the moment of impact, just one moment from their past is bright and clear....

Apparently, I posted them *only* to Supernaturalfic, the community, over on LJ. It has since moved (Supernaturalfic at Dreamwidth), and the comm at LJ was purged.

I do not have a *single copy* of these fics on my HD, on any g.doc, on anything, anywhere.
And they did *not* survive the move, I do not know why. Waybackmachine is also a bust.

Anybody have copies of these two fic? Or know where they might have been archived besides the comm? I would give about anything for copies.

Just a little update on things. And a meme. Haven't done one of *those* in a long time. But roxymissrose and trishsabooms challenged me, among others.

Ze Challange Grande is to pull seven lines from the seventh page of your WIP. Then tag seven writers. I won't be tagging people 'cause my brain is just...too toasty today, heh. But feel free to do it, anyway!

Hullo! Finally posting 'right' - finally have my computer up and running again, new hard drive in place, OS reinstalled, things getting back to normal. It'll take a few more days to dl and install all the little things that i'm missing - Photosheep, Filezilla, VLC.... And of course, all the little tweaks and settings and whatnot that made it all run and look *just like i like*.

And I need to find a decent Torrent client, since BitLord puts a completely un-removable toolbar fucking *thing* in theirs. Jackasses.

ANYway..... slashthedrabble is in it's first week back from a long hibernation, and I'm...writing stuff. Wheeee!

So I thought i'd just post them all here, so they were all together on my journal, as well as over at the comm. Warning for...i guess...creepy-stalkery stuff.

I know, i know. But i'm still damn *giddy* about Show, and episode 200, and i don't care who knows it. :)

I think the *most* fun thing, outside of the episode itself, is seeing all the 'outside' reactions to the show/the episode, and getting to hear remarks from show runners, writers, producers, and the actors themselves.

So, here are a few links that just made my day.

Supernatural: the Cast and Creators Looks Back.... - some great quotes from Kripke, et al, about the episode and why they think it's lasted so long.

Supernatural at 200: The Road So Far, an Oral History. At 'Variety', no less, and just awesome.

And last but not least, the 'review' and ramble that made me laugh, and made me cry....Now That's How You Do a 200th Episode!. From the lovely people at Fangasm. From whom I now have to buy *all the books*. All the books, people. :)

So - i've said it before about Show, and I'll say it again - I have never not liked a season, and i'm hard put to say i *hate* any episode. There's always some redeeming moment or bit of canon or mythology. I'm unabashed and unashamed in my love for Show, and haters? Need not apply.

I thought I'd just post a little this and that. Why not? Yes, still working on *all the fic*. More Space AU! And the J2 charity fic, and the Avengers/TW fic, and the TW Wolfpack-esque fic. Wheeee! Going as fast as i can, guys, promise! :)

But I also wanted to do this, which is - post this link (and this picture, holy hell) about Xander and Anya. ( Um - Emma Caulfield and Nicholas Brendon! )

And then this, too. A 'dvd meme'. Basically - find a fic of mine here, at AO3, or even on my website (oh gods i need to fix that so bad....), copy out a 500 or less word passage, and ask me to do a 'dvd - style' commentary. Ask me anything! I'll do my best. Any fic, from the old stuff to the newest, though be prepared for my very poor memory on the old stuff to make me have to give it a really good *think*. Ask me why I choose to write who, how, what...whatever floats your boat.

I've actually never done anything like this before, so - let's go adventuring together! Hehe.

My tattoo, to be exact. For the benefit of the new people here, my SO, Cat, is a tattoo artist - he's been tattooing since about...sheesh...'91? I think? So, yeah - a while. Currently, he works with his brother and a couple other artists at a shop just outside of the Army post.

Earlier this week, we finally went back and did some touch-up on my bluejay on my arm. It's been just at 18 years - right before I got pregnant with the Monstrous - so it needed a little going over. The colors he had then were crappy powder inks, just did not last. I'd also always intended to have a bee in the tattoo and didn't get it done the first time around, so my bee is now added! Yay!

Otherwise...no real news here. We are rather staid and set in our ways! It's finally spring, with things blooming and trees leafing and the wrens once more building a nest in the wren-house (fifth year in a row! I love it.) They're so wee and perfect and so *loud* when they're pissed off.

In fandom news - I finally saw Captain America: The Winter Soldier and HOLY HELL, it was awesome, so awesome. I really need to see it again. Natasha! Bucky! Sam! Steeeeeeeeve!!

Whoo! So exciting! Finally, the summer_gen fic is revealed, so i can see who wrote my fic for me! My awesome Show/Walking Dead xover fic. :)

Dead Silence was written for me by kogsy21. It's excellent, please read and feed. There were a total of 69 gen stories this year - a lot of good stuff! This is one of my top-three favorite challenges ever.

And now, yay, i get to claim the fic *i* wrote! I must also go and reply to comments. *tra la*

This is a crossover between Show and Falling Skies, so not only do we have a post-apocalyptic setting, but there are *aliens* and *mecha soldiers*. So cool. darkhavens did the beta for me, of course. Title is from The Day-Dream, by Alfred, Lord Tennyson.

It's gotten very chilly here. Tomorrow is the Autumn Equinox, and the light has already changed, and the air. It's lovely. I'm so very happy to wave summer goodbye. :)

...my little town is flooding. And so is my basement. Luckily, we are up on a hill, but half the town is *not*.

In other news - our friend Terry won the competition!! He's going to be flown out to Las Vegas sometime soon to claim his custom handicap-equipped van. THANK YOU, everyone who voted or boosted the signal. He is so happy and grateful.

Also - I signed up for the SPNAUBigBang!! *flails* Sadly, the number of writers to artists is pretty lopsided, so please - if you're an artist - go sign up! You have until Oct. 31st to sign up. I've already got over 9000 words written, need to get to 15,000 and i'm feeling good! :)

Lastly - someone sent me a package addressed to 'Tabaqui the Bloody' - who? Who sent me that? Comment or PM, please. :)

Hello, hello.

This is me, blinking up out of hibernation like a very grumpy bear. I feel a bit...weird, having so few things to post lately. It's unsettling.

Anyway - other than yo-yo weather here (warm! cold! snow! torrential rain!) things are generally staid and predictable. Wheee!

I'm going to be putting up fic over at AO3. I tried with 'Changes', and there was some kind of enormous glitch going on - don't ask - but posting new chapters was not working. So i gave up on it.

Instead, i'm going to be posting shorter/non-chaptered Supernatural and Buffy stuff, until most everything is up. 'Treadmill' went up yesterday, and it's all one page, as opposed to the several on LJ. I'm going to do that with a number of the fics that were posted in 'chapters' on LJ - most of them were broken up only because of LJ's stupid character limitations.

Fandom-wise.... I am happy with Show. Always happy with Show. Enjoying the hell out of it, actually. Looking forward to Falling Skies and Walking Dead and Mad Men coming back. And in general just...feeling good. Wheee!
