ETA: Just had to change the date on this, when i realized it was *after* my newest post. Who'd have thought 2020 would come around so fast??

So, I finally succumbed. :)

Putting this up here so it's easier to see..... If you want a .pdf of any fic, please don't hesitate to ask!

I am also slowly adding Supernatural and Avengers and some Buffy/Angel/Firefly fic to my AO3 account.

My older Buffy work (like Changes) is at my secondary account on AO3, scarecrow_horses.

List particulars. )

ETA: Now with summaries! Gods help us. Don't let them put you off!

Supernatural )

Buffy/Angel/Firefly )

Marvel Verse )

Aaaaaand......that's all for now.

So it's the 500th prompt over at [profile] slash_the_drabble, and I got inspired. Funny how that works, eh?

The prompt was 'Fantasies', and this...happened. :D
At AO3

Who knows? :)
I've been lurking around in fandom and on LJ for a while now, not participating as much as I used to, just not quite feeling *up* to it, for some reason. I want to change that, though. So I'm going to be on here more, if I can, responding and talking more (fingers crossed), and also writing more, I hope hope hope.

I thought I'd start with the Snowflake Challenge, even though I'm several days behind. Some of that was sheer not-organized-ness, and some of that was the *incredibly* windy days we've been having taking out the interwebz for half my town. So my connection has been spotty.

I was also made aware that, for some weird reason, my sticky 'master fic post' was suddenly thrust into prominence as a 'new' post, who knows why. LJ sure seems to be getting unstable. I was puzzled but pleased by the comments, and it did prompt me to update my 'Marvel 'verse' entries, so yay!

Now - here we go with the first of the Snowflake Challenge...challenges. *snerk*

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator.

Okie-dokie.... )

So, there we go! I'm going to be doing them as quickly as possible to catch up, so expect several this Thursday-Sunday. I hope i'll be seeing and hearing and talking to more of my lovely flist this year; hope this helps me get that off to a good start. :)

ETA: I just realized that LJ spontaneously reposted my Master post. WTH. So i'm going to lock that one and make it private so nobody by me sees two. If I delete it, I'll lose the comments there, which I don't want to do. LJ! Stop being weird!!

It's so fun, and a bit bitter-sweet, to rewatch Buffy. So many little moments I'd forgotten, so many excellent episodes.

Currently in the middle of 'Tabula Rasa', which is probably in my top ten of favorite episodes. But this episode - and the ten or so - maybe fifteen? - that preceded it have, once again, completely and thoroughly cemented my intense dislike of Willow.

Jayzus, I just....
*hands*

When she tells Tara that she 'needs her', it makes me think...that for a long time Willow's been leeching power from Tara, and that's why she ends up going to Rack - to get the boost she needs that Tara has cut her off from.

And I like Buffy a *whole lot more* now than I did upon first watching. Funny, that.

It's also making me re-read some of my old fic and while the cliches and fan-girl-fix-it stuff is all right there and embarrassingly obvious, I really should put more of that stuff up on AO3. (And wow, I'm old - i can't read stuff over at my website for too long, it makes my eyes go crazy.)

Anyway - random post of the day. Feel free to talk about Buffy and episodes and character meta or *whatever* in comments...could be fun! :)

Hello, hello! We are whiplashing the weather here - yesterday it was cloudy, drizzly, and *chilly* - today it's sunny, very warm, and a bit close. Who knows what tomorrow may bring!

Holiday weekend, in which we do nothing, yay! )

And, here's the other one. :) I had plans! They were going to reach Sunnydale and it was going to be right around the time of 'The Pack', and Xander was going to be still a little Hyena!Xander (i do so love him), and wanting a pack, and of course Spike can help with that, and things would...go along and...and....
And I forget. *sigh*. But I hope you'll enjoy, anway. Starts in China with the Boxers and the Chinese Slayer, which was so fun to write. Not beta'd, of course. Enjoy! These will both be up on AO3 later today.

So, this is one of the fics i started literally years ago that I know i'll never finish. So - why not let the poor thing see the light of day?

AND - a note I wanted to add about the Supernatural episode 9/22, where the angel came in and committed suicide 'for Castiel'. The little tag said it was in Dixon, MO - which is about six miles down the highway from where I live. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.01 square miles (2.62 km2), all of it land. The population was 1,549 at the 2010 census.

It just...amuses me.

And...Show finale. HOLY. FUCK. I am still reeling a bit. And so blown away by the boy's performances, and Crowley's last little speech, and Gadreel, and...and....
*hands*
DAMN. :)

Right, then - here we go. Not beta'd, of course.

Yup, that's all. :)

Yes, I'm back. Look at me, posting *again*! I know, i know - it's a shock. Heh.

Anyway, I'm back with a bit more fic, and also with some art that I meant to mention last time around and didn't. The lovely [livejournal.com profile] forhimxx made me art for my 'Wolfpack' stories!

Very large image here.... )

I dunno about you guys, but when I get art for one of my stories, it just makes my day. :)

Now for the fic. Ages ago, I wrote Your Breath in my Hands for [personal profile] sweptawaybayou. A bit of David/Jason craziness in the 'Cracktrailer' 'verse.

What I've got here is Jason's POV, which of course contains a bit more backstory, forwardstory, and other people. :) A couple warnings under the cut, please do read. [personal profile] darkhavens, of course, was my beta.

Beautiful Wreck )

WOW, sorry guys. That was a bit of an HTML/Rich Text/posting fail. Always hard code your fic!

Last day in Florida for the Bebe - Epcot today! Wheee!

I have *never* been this late with a charity fic, and believe me - i hate that i am. I hit a writing wall so hard and so high, i didn't think i'd ever get over it.

I hope by finally finishing this, i've actually knocked the damn wall down.

This was written for a [community profile] fandom_helps auction, to benefit Planned Parenthood. The very lovely [livejournal.com profile] baudown was kind enough to bid and win a Buffy/Angel/Firefly offering.

Sadly, the email with prompts was lost in an email 'incident', but they *did* request Spike/Xander. I went with - what would have happened if Xander had joined the Army, like Spike suggested, in 'The Yoko Factor'? I fudged the timeline a wee bit, so that Xander ended up in combat.

So - here's the fic! Hope you enjoy! 5,706 words.
Warning: Some semi-graphic scenes of battleground wounds and discussion of said wounds in a hospital setting. A bit more on the 'war is hell' side than not.

Reveille )

I still owe *another* fic - a Supernatural fic in my Wolfpack 'verse. That is coming soon!

We are desperately in need of people willing to offer up their seriously amazing skills for charity!!

More information at the comm here! [community profile] fandom_helps

We could use really use your help. This round of the charity is to benefit Planned Parenthood so come lend a hand! :)

I'm offering up two fics, one in the Supernatural and one in the Buffy, Angel, or Firefly 'verse. Crossovers among these 'verses are welcome! After the Komen Foundation debacle, I really would like to give Planned Parenthood a donation boost.

Supernatural fic.

Buffy, Angel, or Firefly fic.

Bidding starts February 14th and ends February 21st. Please consider bidding! Thanks. :)

To insure that the winning bidders get a fic within a reasonable amount of time, i reserve the right to veto any suggestions/prompts that generate zero ideas or words. I don't want the winners to be disappointed!

I feel so accomplished. Fic! Again! Yay! :)
Of course, this fic was *started* waaaaaay back at the beginning of season two. Sad, i know. But i've finally got it done and here it is and hell yeah, yay.

Beta'd by [livejournal.com profile] darkhavens, of coz, who continues to be horrifically evol at every turn.
*eyes folder full of Inception fic* Dear gods - she could enable Jesus to kinky gay internet sex. And probably has. The title is from the movie of the same name staring James Cagney because, well...James Cagney rocks. :)

So - on with the show. Sam/Dean, Spike/Xander, drinking and swearing and killing of things. Good times!

Hello! So - i hope everyone has survived the 'silly season' and come out the other side relatively unscathed? We had a lovely Xmas/New Year, neither of which were loud or filled with people or parties, both of which were just...nice. Family. A smidge of snow - wish there'd been more!

But now, we're back to routine. School's in session again, the Bebe's room is a mess, the space heaters are working overtime. We might get snow again! Yay! It's been a very dry winter.

Rec posts you need to see, and a note on my website. Yes, i still have a website. )

In other news...there really isn't any. I'm doing my best to finish a number of fics. It sucks it's gotten *so hard* to do that, but i *am* writing, and i *will* be posting fic. Rawr!

I know - long time no fic! Ah well. This? This is for [livejournal.com profile] sweptawaybayou. She sent me lyrics and a vid and was all - omg! Cracktrailer!
Crash, by Cavo.

And i agreed. So - this. :)

My lovely beta, [livejournal.com profile] darkhavens, is feeling - as my dad would say - 'puny', so the beta will happen tomorrow. So please excuse any of my mistakes.

ETA: If you are mourning the comm and want to relive it - PM me. I've got a .zip of the entire comm. It was great fun, it was some astonishing fic, and I, for one, am very sad to see it gone.

ETA2: And now with beta by [livejournal.com profile] darkhavens!

RPS, David/Jason, a storm, some punches...it's all good. :)

It's Dawn/Connor, my flisties! Who'd a thunk? But only PG, so no worries about under-aged sexing. This was fun, if a bit weird for me. Though i *have* written Dawn before, *and* Connor. Though just not together. :)

[livejournal.com profile] menomegirl said: Oooooh. Connor/Dawn, please. She also had a word prompt, but that didn't make it. Sorry! Hope you like it, though. It's a bit of AU, but...that was the only way i could do it. Post-everything Dawn/Connor was just *not* working for my brain. :) Title is from Robert Browning. I didn't get it beta'd 'cause i'm all impatient and such. So - any mistakes, point 'em out!
ETA: After-the-fact beta'd by [livejournal.com profile] darkhavens. :)

Aaaaand, a question for my flist. I read a couple places that the first season, particularly, of Leverage had been shown out of order, and once i even found a site that had the 'original' and 'aired' order, but now i can't find that again. Anybody have any links? Helpful suggestions? Thank you!

Here we go, here we go. Prompt the second for the lovely [livejournal.com profile] mirasol, who said:You know who I'd love to see if you were of a mind to scribble something? Spike and Mal. Ummm, if you want a prompt, how about "skedaddle"?

I haven't written Firefly in *ages*! Meep! *crosses fingers* :)

The Chinese is hopefully right. Mostly it's from here. The first phrase is from here.

Tah mah duh hwoon dahn - mother fucking son of a bitch
gŏu - dog
méi huā - plum blossom
Shàng dì - God
hún dàn - bastard

'The Wearing of the Green' is an Irish street ballad. The title is from this Chinese proverb:A person is blessed once, but his troubles never come alone.

Beta'd by [livejournal.com profile] darkhavens, of course. Thank you!

I know this took forever and ever and ever, and i'm so terribly sorry! But here it is, finally and at last, and i really hope that it suits! Written for [livejournal.com profile] zortified. Faith isn't the easiest of people for me to write, and Buffy even less so, so it was a challenge, for sure - pretty much the reason i chose it!

*bounce*
Wheeee! :)

Beta'd, of course, by the incomparable [livejournal.com profile] darkhavens, and cheered on by [livejournal.com profile] sweptawaybayou. But [livejournal.com profile] reremouse really gave me the inspiration to finish it up and get it *right*, so thank you thank you!

Oh, fandom. FANDOM! Sometimes, you are just the most amazing thing ever. For example....

[livejournal.com profile] katekat1010 likes the No More Snakes and Ladders, the post-everything Spander story [livejournal.com profile] reremouse and i wrote years ago. *2005!!*

She liked it so much that she did THIS! A collection of gorgeous, amazing artwork, one for each chapter of the story, and two more 'bonus' ones, plus this adorable Tiny Tim icon.

Rere and i are both truly, truly overwhelmed. It's just...amazing! So i had to share.

I also wanted to share this. Monstrous likes to sit behind me, on her Dad's computer, and watch vids and listen to music while she chats with her friends and stuff. These two vids are her current favorites that she literally watches over and over and over.

Twilight review that's just insanely fun, and Twilight trailer spoof that makes me giggle every time.

In between? My Chemical Romance and Paramore. Oh, teh joys of the tween set. :)

Yup, i did it, i signed up for the [livejournal.com profile] maleslashminis. Why not? And the prompt was for Angel/Gunn. Which is cool, 'cause - Gunn! :) Also - scars, camaraderie and a new insight. Hopefully it'll live up to [livejournal.com profile] nme0621's expectations. :)

Set immediately after 'Darla'. And thank you, [livejournal.com profile] darkhavens for the beta!
