Also - the Monstrous Bebe turned nine! Nine!!OMG!!1 We had a family party on the day, with cake and her choice of dinner *Micky D's* and time at the park. Yesterday was the 'party with friends' and they had hot dogs, cup cakes, soda-out-the-nose, confettie poppers and rocket balloons and a pinata. All was good.

Hullo, hullo!
Well, March has been odd. First lamb-like, then lion-like, now sort of...in between. Plus tornado sirens and hail and torrential rain! Wheee! I do *like* weather.

The response over at douse_house has been awesome - thank you guys so much! *bounce*

I've also posted another Supernatural ficlet in kaz2y5. The challenge word was 'kink'... I think you'll probably be surprised. :) Demon. The rest are in my memories.

It's Spring Break here, so the Monstrous is playing lots of Toon Town and just went on a veritable sticker-buying *orgy* from the machines outside the horrible K-Mart. Fifty cents for a sticker! Sheesh. Ah well, they're *her* quarters.

We watched the HBO show 'Deadwood' - seasons one and two. OMG! Loved it. *All* of it. Season three appartenly doesn't start until July? Who knows when we'll get to watch but man - can't wait! Also watching 'Carnivale' - also HBO. It's extremely odd and very frustrating. I know it was cancelled after season two - i hope they managed to resolve the arcs even a *little*. All in all, enjoyable stuff! *hugs Calamity Jane*

On a slightly more personal note, in the past few months i've gotten several requests to beta fic. It's frankly quite boggling. I *don't* beta. I'm not much good at it and i've never put my name on any beta lists or anything. This isn't directed *at* anyone, but i just want to make it clear - i'm not a beta! *Unless your name is roxymissrose and that's 'cause she's my roxy and the rules don't apply to her.*

And some other stuff. Like, for instance, i despise my state right now. Well, okay, maybe not my state but the jerks who are in office. They want to make an official state religion!!! Assholes.

Luckily there are some xians out there who are as horrified as the rest of us.

And all that blather about how it's 'not a law, just an opinion poll'... I don't want lawmakers and whatnot running my state who think it's a good idea to even *contemplate* a 'state religion'! Gah!
*sporks them all*

Let's see, what else? Ah, yis. witling. She has once again written something that makes me go all happy and shivery and 'wish i could write like *that*'... Go read Land of the Lost and see if you don't agree.

I'm also hating TV a lot right now, but mostly because the networks just keep screwing around with air times and days and all that. Makes me wanna just download off the 'net and buy the DVD's when they come out and *never turn the tv on again*!! Sheesh.


And now that i've babbled on and on, here's the fic! reremouse helped whip it into shape, and darkhavens of course made sure of all things Brit. Of course, any little error you see...tell me! I like things to be right. Or as close as possible.

Anybody on my flist want cats? Li'l Brudder, Li'l Sista, Spot and Littlest need homes. I'd like to say Patches does, too, but we might be keeping him. Like we need a fourth cat. Anyway...yeah. Just under a year old, just over two years old, and about three years old, respectively. All outside, all have come inside, the first two for extended stays. *All* friendly and loving and sweet and wonderful and all fixed except for Li'l Brudda, who'll be fixed soon.

Oh yeah - Xander had no illusions which one of them was the plain Jane in this buddy movie and clearly he needed to spend a few hours curled up in a multiplex while things exploded on screen because there was no way no way Xander was prepared to be insecure in his femininity.
