Yes, i am back. Again. I had to go *back* to the hospital and sort things, but now i'm home again, hopefully for good this time. The long and boring story of all this i'll tell some other time.

Let me say, though, that all the love and good thoughts and well wishes made me feel so much better, like i was cossetted and surrounded by good vibes, and it helped. Thank you, my lovelies.
*hugs you all tight*

Now, I am posting fic! I did a remix for the AO3 remix challenge, for [livejournal.com profile] electricalgwen, inspired by her story put it in your pocket. A lovely sort of 'moment' in the boy's life, post-hell and post-soulless Sam. Please go read and comment.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] soundingsea did a wonderful remix of my fic 'Blood and Air' - Missouri Mosely! There just isn't enough of her. Please take a look at a tale that can't be told (blood and air remix). You'll be happy you did. :)

Betaed, as ever, by the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] darkhavens. Thank you, bb!
Title is from In a Boat by D.H. Lawrence.
Constellation information is from Wiki and Theoi Greek Mythology.
Some lyrics from Catch a Falling Star by Lee Pockriss and Paul Vance.

The Heavens Are Not Shaken (The Catch a Falling Star remix) )

Thanks again, everyone! :)

Yay, the AO3 remix challenge is *open*!! Remix Redux 9: Love Potion #9. The story of mine that was remixed is here, A Tale That Can't Be Told (Blood and Air remix). Which, yes, i've already read and squeed about.

It's delightful stuff - Missouri Mosely! Not enough of her in the fandom at all. So please do go read and comment, or leave a 'kudo'. They'll be anonymous for another week.

My story is in the Supernatural section - i'll be posting it here when the author reveals go up.
*dances*

The rain came back again today - sheesh! Just as we were drying out. And it's chilly as hell - what a crazy Spring! Happy Beltane, by the way, peeps - i wish i could give May Day bouquets to you all.

I'm still feeling...ucky. Dear gods, slowest recovery *ever*. Today i ate a piece of toast, and about four spoons of yogurt. Sheesh.

Anyway - enjoy the remixes! There are over 130 stories up, in dozens of fandoms - sure to be something there for everyone!

Hallo, people.
We suddenly moved into nearly-summer weather. Mid-eighties and *humid*. Oh dear gods, i hate it. Hate. It. I want my chilly spring weather back, now, please.
*puts cold washcloth around neck*

A while back, I signed up for the AO3 Magic Eight Ball remix. I do so like those. And the archive went live today! The stories are still anonymous, but I *can* post the link to the remix that was for me.

I enjoyed their take ever so, so please have a look and leave a little textural applause! Two Roads (the I'll Get There Before You remix).

We have company coming tomorrow. Who will stay for about three days. And then after the weekend, company that will stay until, i think, Friday. Company that i *love* but...people. In my house. Daily.
*hands*

In less fun news...three days ago, my uncle died. Due to idiot family shenanigans, he was the uncle none of us kids had ever met. In the last few years before my dad died, they finally started talking again, and visiting and such.

And he and his second wife were going to come down here this summer and i was going to *meet him* and...fuck. Now i won't. Can't. And it just really bums me out. I heard him talking on my mom's voice mail. His voice sounded just like my dads.
Arrgh.

Anyway - on with the show.

Hello, lovelies! I got home today from a quite delightful visit with my Mum. The Bebe stayed the whole weekend with her cousin, aunt, and uncle, and my brother and his girlfriend were out of town, so it was just the two of us. Very nice! We windows shopped, and made fun of the ugly bags and clothing we saw, admired some very nice 'Mad Men-esque' dresses, ate Italian, and chocolate cake, and watched a movie. All in all, very relaxing, and it was nice to just sit and visit without any interruptions.
*hugs my Mum*
:)

Now i'm home, though, and a bit worn out from the drive, as always. It's not a long drive, but it always makes me woozy. It's nice to see my cats again, though - i missed them!

[livejournal.com profile] kamikazeremix fics have gone live, yay! So now I can post mine here, or of course, you can read at the comm. My own fic was also remixed, wheeeee! So there's that, too. The fic that i remixed was very different from my 'usual', so it was a bit of a challenge! I'm happy to say that the author was pleased with my effort, though, so that's pretty much all that counts. I rather like it, too. :)

So, here are the links. I put Generation Landslide up for remix, and got a lovely variation by [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster, Generation Landslide (The Quick Brown Fox Two-Step). Go! Read! Feed! :)

Then, my original fic was Dancers at the Lake by [livejournal.com profile] fannishliss.

And here's my remix. Beta'd by [livejournal.com profile] darkhavens, as always.

Title is from Adsum, by Richard Henry Stoddard

Wheeeeee!

My [livejournal.com profile] kamikazeremix author has been revealed! [livejournal.com profile] theladyscribe is the author who took 'Thou Born to Match the Gale' and teased out a neat little bit of 'other' pov, inhabiting the oc of the story and letting us see through his not-quite-human eyes. To cope with heaven and earth and sea and hurricane [The What's Your Sin Remix].

And i've changed my author tag at the comm, but i want to post the story here, too, so i can have it in my tags.

The original story was Homeless Hits a Bit Close, by [livejournal.com profile] essenceofmeanin. A darkish little slice-of-life piece, about the 'less glamorous' side of hunting. I was so thrilled to get her as my author, and i only had to read the story over once to be hit with a big 'ole bunny.

Beta'd by [livejournal.com profile] darkhavens, of course.
Enjoy!

Title from Edwin Arlington Robinson - Collected Poems.
