roxymissrose and trishsabooms challenged me, among others.
Ze Challange Grande is to pull seven lines from the seventh page of your WIP. Then tag seven writers. I won't be tagging people 'cause my brain is just...too toasty today, heh. But feel free to do it, anyway!
Here's what I replied with at the respective LJ's.....
Dean looked at the sky, faint shafts of silver-grey light coming through the cloud-cover. North was too risky. South it was, a long route down and around, avoiding the glassine plain that had been Kansas, cutting through the top of New Mexico to Oklahoma. Pueblo land – Tribe. Dean was pretty sure, at some point, that there had been more than one tribe. That being of this tribe or that had been a point of pride. But there was just one, now, and he wasn't in it.
They knew him, though.
Stiles suddenly felt as if his limbs were weighted - his head filled with sand. He blinked and shuffled obediently after Derek when Derek took a handful of Stiles’ shirt and tugged him into motion. Matt darted past them and insinuated himself into the pile, flopping onto a big, older Hale with a grin, cuddling close.
Derek led him to an unoccupied corner and Stiles sank down, fumbling with shaking hands at the laces on his sneakers.
“Useless,” Derek said, but his voice, like Laura’s, was soft. He jerked Stiles’ shoes right off without bothering to untie them and gave Stiles a little push and Stiles…went right over.
Sideways and down, his head on a bunched fold of sleeping bag, his knees drawing up, arms curling in close.
So, yes - WIP I hope to finish soon. I'm also madly typing away on the Space AU, and hope to get it done and beta'd tonight/tomorrow, depending on how fast i can type and how available my beta is. :)
Lastly - tv. WHY is no one talking about
It is *awesome*. Main characters? A MtF transgender woman and her biracial girlfrind, a gay Mexican man and his boyfriend, a man from Nirobi, a woman from India, a man from Berlin, a woman from Iceland, a woman from Korea, and a white man from Chicago.
All filmed in all those countries and more, and nobody is a gross stereotype, and wow, full frontal male nudity and m/m and f/f and m/f sex. AND a really interesting and emotional story for *all* of them, that I am on the edge of my seat to watch. AMAZING.
C'mon, flist! Watch it!!
