And we move into September, summer mellowing to autumn like wine in a cask. The brief spell of summer heat we had seems to have broken and now it's just...mild. :)

I'm trying to post more, again. Not every day, because gods knows i don't have that much to say, but *more*.

I was going to wait until the reveals, but i'll just post again then.... My story (the one written for me) is up at SPN_Summergen! It's a crossover with The Walking Dead. Dead Silence - please go read and comment! It's an excellent fic. :)

I was asked to join The Chosen Two archive, which is a Buffy/Faith specific archive. Whoo! I only have one Buffy/Faith fic, Into the Blue Again, but there are nearly 100 stories at the site, so if you'd like to contribute or read, head on over!

Lastly, though not least-ly, a few weeks ago I got to meet txrabbit and her lovely family. They had decided to take a drive up and tour around Missouri for a few days, so stopped in at my house for a bit. It's always fun to meet LJ people in real life, and we had a nice, long chat, and some lunch, and some more chatting, hehe. Her kids graciously put up with sitting around in a boring old-person house and were delightful, besides, so it was a fun visit all 'round.

I didn't realize you were in Missouri—I mean, why would I, it's not like we know each other that well or anything, I'm just babbling—I was born there, for what that's worth. (Not much, lol.)

It feels like fall here, too, suddenly. Not cool or anything, but just a feeling in the air, a quality of the light.

And I really didn't have that much to say, but I like that everyone's trying to post more and I want to encourage it by commenting on as much as I can.

It is a pretty state. I'm not used to the humidity at all, though. My sister and I were born in Fredericktown, down in the southeast corner. We lived there until I was four. My mom was from here in eastern New Mexico, and she met my dad when he was stationed here at the air force base. He had eleven brothers and sisters, so his people were scattered all over, especially the South.

The humidity sucks, it's just horrifying. That's the worst part of summer, for me, after the heat. And the sun. And the stupid *bugs*.

I am definitely a winter person. :)

I'm not too familiar with that section of the state. Except for Elephant Rocks, heh.

As I sit here, avoiding the kitchen, because it's 109 outside (North Texas) and the AC is struggling... I wonder, briefly, what a mild summer would feel like. Would I possibly even go outdoors?

I'm slightly jealous. More Wolfpack fic would make me feel better. Definitely not cooler - but better :-)

Ack! That sucks. We had about two weeks of that kind of mess, with humidity making the heating index go up into triple digits. But compared to last year, we have had the *mildest* and most lovely of summers.

I still don't go out much in summer. Bugs! And all that sunshine.

Nope - summer is *not* for me. Mid-seventies is as warm as it ever needs to get for me.

I miss autumn... We didn't get one last year, it was summery until October then *bam* winter. A mild winter, but a winter nonetheless. We might get one this year though, the temp has dropped to 33 Celsius (wow, no really, wow /sarcasm).

We didn't get a spring last year - went from winter to OMGSUMMER. This year, most of summer was more like spring and we've only had a few weeks as warm as you.

But now it's cooling down again, and it's anywhere from 12-18 C at night. So lovely!
