I know - too weird! But, can't help myself. Firstly, in the last post with the Pout!Verse ficlet,
sweptawaybayou and I got into a little discussion about the meanttobeness of Spike and Angel.
And then
pretties_4u just had to jump in with a Spangel ficlet!! *snerk* So go see the meanttobeness!
One last thing. We spent today cleaning. House, car - fun stuff. *ahem* We cleaned the computer room! Things were actually taken off shelves and dusted. Things that hadn't been dusted in probably two years were actually lifted up and cleaned, exposing dust bunnies the size of my head.
Dear gods, I'm still sneezing. I do so loathe dusting. Anyway, I'm so pleased with the clean and the three bags of trash we threw out, I had to post a picture. Not that anybody else cares, but my desk and surrounds - so very uncluttery and dust-free now!!
So, yes, this is my corner. My juice and my stack'o'books on the side that i really need to carry back to the bedroom. All my pretty stickers on my monitor, gifts from the Monstrous Bebe. And see that handsome young man, the black and white image behind my monitor? Yes, that is the calendar that
perfectwhorl bought for me in Venice. It's a calender of hot young...priests.
I know, i know - i'm going to hell. But i'll have company, for sure. :)
Now - aren't you glad i posted that? Doesn't it make you feel all happy to know what my desk looks like? Aren't you envious of my uber-spiffy chair with arm rests?? I know you are.
ETA: Keep in mind some of the stuff on the walls isn't mine. I'm not really that enamoured of naked chicks. :) But putting of pictures of naked guys would be...odd.

It's mostly 'cause I'm too lazy to take them back to the bedroom...and try to force them into the overflowing shelves there...
*sigh*
Heeeeeeeeeee.
Yes yes - hell will rock! And Viggo Mortenson, he is Satan!
So, all is good.

I won't comment on my overflowing shelves or book buying habits. I'll just leave it at the fact that I moved probably six or seven boxes of books when I moved this time and the first time I moved I had one. We (me and some of the girls at BC) have a theory that they multiple while on the shelf. We're trying to get more gay and lesbian books with the hope that they wouldn't be able to have offspring and would instead adopt other books.

*clings to my books*
I tend to re-read a LOT and keep the ones i read and that means...well...that i generally have three or four books going at once.
HEh.
But i'd be willing to release some into the wild.
Thanks for the links!

I'm the same way about books; I reread some over and over again. I don't release those unless I buy a second copy. I mean if I reread them then other people will probably like them but I don't want to get rid of MY copy! That's just silly. I generally have three or four going myself; my mom wonders how I manage to keep them all straight when I do it.
I've found that I have more books now than I ever did before. And that I go to used book stores and garage sales and book fairs with an eye toward not only books that I want to read but books that I have read and want to release. Hence the reason I have something like six or more boxes of books (that still need to be unpacked).
