I know - too weird! But, can't help myself. Firstly, in the last post with the Pout!Verse ficlet, [livejournal.com profile] sweptawaybayou and I got into a little discussion about the meanttobeness of Spike and Angel.

And then [livejournal.com profile] pretties_4u just had to jump in with a Spangel ficlet!! *snerk* So go see the meanttobeness!

One last thing. We spent today cleaning. House, car - fun stuff. *ahem* We cleaned the computer room! Things were actually taken off shelves and dusted. Things that hadn't been dusted in probably two years were actually lifted up and cleaned, exposing dust bunnies the size of my head.

Dear gods, I'm still sneezing. I do so loathe dusting. Anyway, I'm so pleased with the clean and the three bags of trash we threw out, I had to post a picture. Not that anybody else cares, but my desk and surrounds - so very uncluttery and dust-free now!!

So, yes, this is my corner. My juice and my stack'o'books on the side that i really need to carry back to the bedroom. All my pretty stickers on my monitor, gifts from the Monstrous Bebe. And see that handsome young man, the black and white image behind my monitor? Yes, that is the calendar that [livejournal.com profile] perfectwhorl bought for me in Venice. It's a calender of hot young...priests.

I know, i know - i'm going to hell. But i'll have company, for sure. :)
Now - aren't you glad i posted that? Doesn't it make you feel all happy to know what my desk looks like? Aren't you envious of my uber-spiffy chair with arm rests?? I know you are.

ETA: Keep in mind some of the stuff on the walls isn't mine. I'm not really that enamoured of naked chicks. :) But putting of pictures of naked guys would be...odd.

Good lord, with that pile of books please tell me you BookCross. I imagined like three or four. Not the next Mount Bibliophile.

And honey, if you're going to hell, you'll have company. Probably the hot young...priests who posed for the calendar. As well as all the others who bought it and used it. And took pictures for it... oh yes, hell will be crowded and fun it would appear.

Now, off I go to read the meanttobeness that is Spangel. Because really, how could they not be meanttobe?

This reminds me I should probably take a pic of my desk/ work sphere again. There have been some changes over the past months, most notably the disappearance of the laptop pedestal...

Also, I'm impressed by your stacking skills! A book pile that high would have tumbled down a long time ago on my desk! *grin*

Oh. My. God. A calendar of hot young priests?! *cracks up*
I want one!
*snickers*
It would go so well with my calendar of naked rugbymen!

LOL!

All that's missing is the cat on the arm rest! Did y'all toss her out by accident!

(You did know there's bets going around on how long your nest will stay clean, right? Bwahahahahaaa! J/K...maybe!)

Priests, huh?

That reminds me, best get started on today's work on Nessuno.

Heh.

Wait a minute, you've got a calender with hot young (evidently clothed) priests, but putting nekked men on your wall would be odd? This is very strange Tabaqui. :-)

http://www.stonenudes.com/galleries.html Nekked rock climbers. More odd than nudity on its own, in my opinion. But then aside from apreciating the asthetic-ness, I don't get rock climbing to begin with.

I like your corner. And its very tidy now. Which makes me look at the computer area here and sigh.

Ugh. I have some form of dust allergic reaction too -- I'm wondering if dust in general is why I'm exhausted an have puffy eyes today, but I see the allergy doctor anyway today, so maybe she'll know.

Yup, corner envy. :-) And I need decorations in my corner too. Besides a shelf of teacups and clutter. *sigh*

Ohhh I know what you mean about hating to dry dishes. It seems like such a waste of time since they'll dry just as well on their own! ;-)

Exactly! *grin*

BookCrossing is a website. You can read what I wrote about it (http://www.livejournal.com/users/soraidh/16670.html) but basically it's like Where's George for books. It's a way cool idea (at least I think so) and I've had so much fun with it. I've met a lot of cool people here on LJ because of it The website is http://www.bookcrossing.com/ If you like what you see and sign up, I'm Soraidh on there as well :)

I won't comment on my overflowing shelves or book buying habits. I'll just leave it at the fact that I moved probably six or seven boxes of books when I moved this time and the first time I moved I had one. We (me and some of the girls at BC) have a theory that they multiple while on the shelf. We're trying to get more gay and lesbian books with the hope that they wouldn't be able to have offspring and would instead adopt other books.

Now you're giving me the guilts, because there are dust bunnies of similar size all over this HOUSE, waiting for me to get off my lazy bum and do something about them. I'll try to follow your example and charge at them with a dust cloth! Right after I read the next post...

*sigh*

I love you! I suffer the same affliction. I take benadryl and then dash about like mad, dusting, until I fall into the antihistimine coma. I HATE dusting (vacuming a close second)*puts on dust mask and smooches you*

*waves sheepishly* Hi back. I've been in major lurk mode as RL has been sucking to the extreme. I hate always whinging about the sucking hellsore that is my life sometimes. Everybody has enough suckage of their own to need to hear about mine, at least not all the time. I couldn't resist commenting about the dusting though, my house is starting to look like a volcano ashed all over, so thick is the dust. I'm going to look into buying an air purifier to run full steam while I clean to at least cut back on some of the fall out.
I am soooo grateful that Hellspawn #1 is old enough and mature enough to handle herself temporarily if I have to crash. And that #2, while not always perfect, can at least be counted on not to leave the house and play in traffic and he sort of listens to #1.

We did have a piece of good news this week, the refinance of the mortgage went through. that aleviates some of the most pressing financial worries. Things are very stresses between mr E and myself. that continues in soap opera-like fashion. *sigh*

*gets clingy with the hug, maybe a few tears of the emotionally overwhelmed*

It is very neat. I really enjoy it when I'm doing it a lot. Haven't done it much since I moved and all my books are still in boxes. If there isn't a place in your town, make one.

I'm the same way about books; I reread some over and over again. I don't release those unless I buy a second copy. I mean if I reread them then other people will probably like them but I don't want to get rid of MY copy! That's just silly. I generally have three or four going myself; my mom wonders how I manage to keep them all straight when I do it.

I've found that I have more books now than I ever did before. And that I go to used book stores and garage sales and book fairs with an eye toward not only books that I want to read but books that I have read and want to release. Hence the reason I have something like six or more boxes of books (that still need to be unpacked).
