That i totally forgot to post about. Sheesh.
The first is the anniversary of my LJ. On the 25th of April, 2004, I created my LJ! Nine years. NINE. Wow. I have met *so many* amazing people (and people that, as far as i'm concerned, are family) - read so much incredible fic, engaged in so many interesting and enlightening discussions, seen so many things....
Having this journal has been one of the best things ever.
The second is - as of about May 23rd or so, we have been living in our lovely stone house for five years. Whooo! I love it more every day. I am *not* loving the stupid freaking bats that are apparently roosting in the attic/eaves and pooping all over the front steps. Thank you, stupid bats, for making me sweep up your poop every day. That must change.
But we have a wren pair nesting in the wren house for the fifth year in a row, the rose of sharon bushes along the fence are even bigger now, there's a *mulberry* tree, where the hell did *that* come from?, and the wee maple i planted the first year we moved here is now taller than the Bebe.
I think it's about time for new curtains, though. They're looking a bit the worse for wear, thankyouverymuch, Jack, for climbing them repeatedly.
All in all - two very good anniversaries. :)
In other news - i've been watching past seasons of 'MasterChef: Australia'. Its very different than the US version, and in some ways *far* superior. I'm enjoying it.

Congratulations on your anniversaries. I completely missed my LJversary this year, since I was on the road. For all the glitches and Frank the Goat, this is still the best place, I think.

Whee! Curtains are oddly addictive. I find myself *looking* at them....

Wow, I can't believe how time passes! It's probably because I live in this gigantic continuous, *now*. It really makes things confusing...but hey--congrats on a really great anniversary. Five years...and nine years, my stars. *shakes head* I should probably nap a little.

I go here mostly.

Sadly, when you click 'play video', you'll usually get a pop up or two, but i have Avast, and just close whatever window opened, and then go on and watch the vid.
Snow also said that this place is good, though i haven't look at their tv show offerings yet.

Not *every* episode of some shows will be there, but most of them. You also get a choice, on tubeplus, of a number of different servers (gorillavid, putlocker, etc.) to stream from, and some are better than others. I usually scroll until i find a putlocker or gorillavid link.
Have fun!

Are bats protected in your area? I've been reading Robin McKinley's blog; she lives in England and bats are protected and seemingly allowed to roost where they will even in people's attics.

That was my first 'intro' to fandom and fic, heh.
I have no idea, but the little bastards are going to have to find a new home, 'cause i am really not happy about bat poop. Plus - get out of my attic! Stupid bats. Missouri has *tons* of caves - go find one!

Strange to think it's been 10 years since Buffy went off the air. I still haven't found a show that's as addictive to me and I fear I never will (probably because I'm too jaded after decades of TV watching *sigh*).
I guess you'll have to go over your attic inch by inch to find where they come in and seal the holes. Good Luck.

I'm pretty sure they're coming in the attic windows - there's no glass or screens, just a wooden sort of...lattice. I just dunno if they're in the *attic*, or if they're up in the eaves somehow where we just won't be able to get to them. The house is too tall - we have *no* ladder that reaches that high.
Eh, we shall see.

We've never had a problem with pets climbing the curtains but I see totally get Frank chewing the wires in the this place. The amount of things we have had to replace from one certain kitty chewing through the wiring. I'm surprised and extremely relived it never once electrocuted itself.
Your stone house sounds lovely :)

Holy crap, really? That would scare the hell out of me! Sheesh. Crazy cat.
Jack goes behind/inside the curtain and then climbs like a demon to the top an then *hangs there*. Little asshat.
I think it is - so much prettier than a 'regular' house.... :)

You've been on my flist from the very beginning, and I have always appreciated your friendship. *hugs*

Ah ha ha. GARDEN, he says. Delusions of grandeur! You'll give it a complex! :)
I shall, but not today - it's pouring buckets.

We're kinda addicted to Masterchef in the household - the current season is kinda annoying because they have a boys vs. girls thing going on but apparently that's only going for 2 weeks and then they switch back to the regular format so we're giving it a chance.
We went to a MasterChef pop-up restaurant in Sydney last year - it was awesome! The temporary digs were lovely and the food was AMAZEBALLS.

Masterchef in Australia is *so* different than the one here in the US - and frankly, i think it's better. There's not all this backbiting and nastiness (at least, there isn't in the season i'm watching, season three). Everyone seems to be genuinely about the food and the competition, not being a snotty little jackass.
I would *love* to do that! Sounds awesome.
