There's an author out there called Zilpha Keatly Snyder.
She writes childrens books. Or, rather, she writes wonderful BOOKS that can be for children or adults.
A lot of her books are out of print, but some have just recently been re-printed.
I wrote her literally YEARS ago, asking about this - and two days ago i got a reply! She had replied at the time with a negative answer, but now, years later, she's saved address and wrote back!
So very cool.

nice letter thanking me for my book, The Changeling, and asking when it
would be back in print. I have saved dozens of these letters and now I
am writing this email to all of you inform you that the book has just
been reprinted by iUniverse under special arrangements with the
Authors' Guild.
The reprint is a high-quality paperback with all the original
illustrations and is available through iuniverse.com as well as
Barnesandnoble.com and amazon.com.
I should mention also that another out-of-print book, The Velvet Room,
is now also available through the same outlets and a third, Black and
Blue Magic, will soon be reprinted as well.

I remembered we had a chat aaages ago about the Gormenghast TV thing, (which i was mildly appalled by - having read the trilogy as a wee 'un in school, it made a BIG impact cos the books are *A-Maze-Ing*) (Oooh, apart from JRM, cos well - *damn*)
Knew you'd like to read the real thing, and remembered about it one morning during my minimal Net access time. (Got me a copy of The Phantom Tollbooth too, thanks to you reminding me of it's existance, smootch X)
