Hey, Help!

Can anybody give me a little 'Angel' info? Please?
When Buffy came back in season six, i know at one point she went to see Angel - he had found out she was back.
HOW did he find out, and what was happening in L.A. at that point? BabyConner? Cordelia Love? Darla, still? I've only seen season five of 'Angel' so i have no clue.

Please help!!!

I don't think they ever really said what Buffy and Angel did when they met, or that they talked about it on Angel at all really, so you may not be missing anything at all. I know they talked during Flooded which aired on 10/16/01, so if there was anything it would be during Fredless which aired 10/22/01.

I don't think we ever actually heard for sure how he found out. I remember Buffy getting a call, then she left to meet him in neutral territory and came back with a bucket of chicken. I'm hard pressed to remember how it went on Angel's end of things.

As for what was going on during that season, Darla turns up pregnant. Most of the season deals with her, the prophecies concerning Connor, Wesely betraying them all to turn the child over, Connor dissapearing, him coming back all destoyer and wicked pissed off...

I'm in the middle of watching my DVDs of Angel S3 so it's still fresh in my memory. The news of Buffy's resurrection arrived when Angel's crew were trying to get Fred settled into life at the Hyperion. I believe it was a phone call from Willow to Cordelia that actually gave the news, and she relayed it to Angel (the episode was Carpe Noctem).

The "meeting" between Angel and Buffy took place between that episode and Fredless. This was the "crossover" that wasn't really a crossover, since we never got to see it happen. Thanks to the series being on different networks! Anyway, in Fredless we had the *hysterically* funny scene where Cordelia and Wesley act out the Buffy/Angel love affair for the benefit of Gunn and Fred, unknowingly also witnessed by Angel, who says, "Why don't both of you bite me?" at the end. To get Cordelia's goat he refuses to ever tell her what happened at the meeting with Buffy. We don't even know exactly where it took place, just that it was somewhere not at Buffy's house or the Hyperion, since they both left their homes to go wherever it was.

As for what was happening in general with the gang in L.A., Darla is pregnant but at the exact moment of this meeting with Buffy, Angel doesn't know that. He will find out two episodes later. Cordelia's visions are really hurting her but she's not letting on to the rest of the crew just how badly. Angel and Cordelia are acting very protective and loving toward each other but are still in friend mode -- we have not moved to the horrible Cordelia/Angel love affair, truly my worst nightmare. No, the sight of Connor and Cordelia in bed together was worse... Wolfram and Hart are still trying to find some way to make Angel's life miserable but have not really found the key yet. We have seen some flashbacks involving a man named Holtz from Angel and Darla's past but won't know until a couple of episodes later just how much he still matters.

This may be way more information than you needed. Now I'm off to watch another episode from S3. I do love Angel, probably more than you do judging from the way you write him in your fics. I think he's a fantastic character, poorly written in a lot of S5. Don't judge him from that season alone. Get seasons one through 3 and watch those to get a much, *much*, MUCH better idea of how complex, interesting, and wonderful he can be. Season 2 alone... I could go on and on. Sigh.
