Hallo, people.
We suddenly moved into nearly-summer weather. Mid-eighties and *humid*. Oh dear gods, i hate it. Hate. It. I want my chilly spring weather back, now, please.
*puts cold washcloth around neck*

A while back, I signed up for the AO3 Magic Eight Ball remix. I do so like those. And the archive went live today! The stories are still anonymous, but I *can* post the link to the remix that was for me.

I enjoyed their take ever so, so please have a look and leave a little textural applause! Two Roads (the I'll Get There Before You remix).

We have company coming tomorrow. Who will stay for about three days. And then after the weekend, company that will stay until, i think, Friday. Company that i *love* but...people. In my house. Daily.

In less fun news...three days ago, my uncle died. Due to idiot family shenanigans, he was the uncle none of us kids had ever met. In the last few years before my dad died, they finally started talking again, and visiting and such.

And he and his second wife were going to come down here this summer and i was going to *meet him* and...fuck. Now i won't. Can't. And it just really bums me out. I heard him talking on my mom's voice mail. His voice sounded just like my dads.
Arrgh.

Anyway - on with the show.

Damn. That just sucks! I am so sorry you never got to meet him. Will you get to meet his wife maybe? Sometimes that can help.
And stupid family shenanigans. In my family they are multi-generational. Who knew feuds could last so long?

It's ridiculous! It wasn't even important! It was his first wife's fault for being so touchy, actually, but my dad said that if his own brother would actually go along with her, than to hell with him. Arrgh.

I dunno if his second wife will visit still, or not. I wish she would but...we'll see. My mom and dad really liked her, really enjoyed meeting her and visiting.

So sorry about your Uncle. It's a cruel stupid world sometimes.

And ... don't hold your breath waiting for comments on AO3. I've had 200 + hits on stuff I posted there, and not a songle comment - and some of those hits were on the third part of a series, so it wasn't like they read one page then gave up ... I'm not bitter.

I know exactly what you mean about having people in your house on a daily basis. It doesn't matter whether you love them or not, it just makes me uptight when there are too many visitors for too long.

Sorry about the situation with your uncle. I had a similar case in my family. He and my mother had made up about two years before she died but because he lives abroad seeing him was not a simple matter. Then a year after she died, he did too. I met his widow and several of his children but I never met him.
