Hello!
So, not too many days ago, i linked to a post at sweptawaybayou's journal, wherein she told the tale of her friend and co-worker's devastating house fire.

BUT!! The best part, if i do say so myself, is this. fire_fic is born! Several excellent writers as well as artists have offered themselves up for bidding, with all the proceeds going to a PayPal account that goes directly to Renee.

And yes, i'm a hoor and have pimped myself there so - c'mon and buy me! Or, if you can't buy, then sell! Or just donate what you can. The 'official' post about fire_fic is here, so go check it out.

Please, even if you can only spare five bucks, it will *help*. And if you want to pimp this community, please do! Every little bit helps.

That's a real bummer about the divorce thing. Though I understand it because otherwise he'd have to be on the title of the house (might vary by state), which could cause all sorts of problems. I know someone who really lived to regret having her ex on the title and there's no easy way to undo it.

I dunno about that. If the title is in her name alone, how does he have any claim? I totally get that, though, as a consideration, and i know *nothing* about the property laws in Kansas, so...another thing to look into.
