To all the mothers on my flist. And it's up to *you* to decide if you're a mum. I mean - kitties are people too!

Anyway...being a mum is skeery, and wonderful, and not something i ever really thought i'd do, but... I love it. And I put just about *all* of my success - and some of my anxiety - at being a mother squarely at the foot of the woman in the picture. Yes, that is *my* mother, at her wedding reception in 1960. Isn't she gorgeous? And yes, that's my dad lookin' all...Rat Pack and 'swave', as he would say. Hee.

But.

My mother has always been my inspiration and my best cheerleader and my confidant. When i got pregnant, it was *her* example i knew i'd have to try to live up to, and her example that i - all too infrequently - manage to emulate.

I have nothing but good memories about her as my mother. We don't agree on everything - we've fought, we've argued, we've had our 'moments'. But in the end, she is the most amazing, caring, and wonderful person i know, and i am forever grateful to her.

I love you, mom.

oh, Tabi.

What a beautiful picture of your mother. That dress is gorgeous and her hair, but when I look at her face and see her eyes, all I see is *you*.

And your father ... Hee!! Totally styling.

Lovely, lovely, babe. And Happy Mom's Day to you, too.

xoxo

Happy Mother's Day baybeee!! I've been doing the Mom gig for 22 years and there are days I still don't know how my mom did it. ;-)

I wore my mom's senior prom dress to my senior prom. It was during the Madonna material girl phase, and my mom's prom dress was really in style. She was great, and let me cut it to tea length, and make a new bodice out of the material so it fit me better.

I hadn't thought about that in years. Thanks!

They're a lovely couple, but--is your dad spiking the punch while your mom's back is turned?
::snorfles::

Your dad is pretty awesome, too. Very swave.
