That fic thing... And an update on the State of Me.

I hadn't actually thought i'd do one of those 'all the fics i wrote' posts, but then i thought - why not? So - all the fics i finished or started in 2006 are linked here for your perusal! Have fun! Or...you know...not. :)



First thing to be finished was Scaling Heaven, my Spander!in!Space Opera. It was fun! Then...

As If We Should Forget We Have No Hands - epic Spander Amnesia!fic.

Then there was Tumble, Turn, Overflow, a post-everything fic that got a bit nasty before it got better.

Neverland was also started in 2006 and is currently *one chapter away* from being done. You'll know why it's stuck there if you read the Me!update. Peter Pan! Spander! Darkness! All good.

Of course, reremouse and i had a couple of things going over at the douse_house... First there was Oxnard to Glory, an alternate post-Oxnard story that took us up to the epic fight with Glorificus. That was followed with 'what happened next in...
SNAFU!. Situation Normal, All Fucked Up. With Spander. :)

We finished our collaberations with Drowning, Not Waving, probably one of the darkest things we've ever done. But you all liked it! Heh.


Then, out of the blue - i drabbled! Wheeeeee! I'd like to drabble again, some day - it was fun. These all were for Miss ely_jan and are right here.

I also did a 'companion' ficlet to something sweptawaybayou wrote, which is also damn fun to do. Perdition to Arcadia.

2006 was also the year i started writing in the Supernatural fandom. Oh, such fun! It was/is really neat to be in a fandom that's just getting started, and here we are over a year later, it's it's going *strong*, with lots of lovely stories and lively discussion. And i'm so glad to see that a lot of you BtVS grrls are letting the SPN boys share the fandom couch with Spike and Angel and Oz...there's room for everybody!

Most of these were for darkhavens challenge comm, kaz2y5. A couple are just...cause. :) Supernatural!.

I also wrote a longer, chapterd SPN fic with one of my near-and-dear OC who's been kicking around in my brain - and in my stories - for years. Thou born to match the gale, (thou art all wings).

Last but not least, a gift for an SPN fandom-friend, an AU Supernatural story wherein the 'powers' Sam has are there from babyhood. All that's written so far is here: Two Roads Diverged.

And that's that, folks! Thank you *all* for all the wonderful comments and the support - you make the 'work' of writing so, so worth it!


Now for the *me* part - aren't you just so glad?? Since Thanksgiving i've been repeatedly, annoyingly, ill. On and off, nothing *serious*. Just something i had hoped my Mother's Day hysterectomy had cured. Denied! Sheesh. Anyway, the upshot was, i had to get a CT scan to look at my remaining innards and see what was what. And the CT scan, apparently, led to a nifty infection which, just yesterday, required emergency out-patient surgery! Oh joy!

Actually, since i'd been in freaking *pain* for a week, it was a dream come true and i *immediately* felt/feel better. Sore, of course, and still taking antibiotics *gag*, but much, much better. For the last week i literally could *not* sleep more than an hour or so, and was so physically uncomfortable i spent most of my time in one position on the couch or in bed. Jesus gods. The few times i got online were uncomfortable and brief. I mean - i *cried*, people. I don't cry over pain. I'm *German*. We're stoic. Gods, i feel so much better.

Consequences, however...i have a stack of bookmarked stuff to rival the Empire State Building. OMG! I'll be reading forever. If i don't comment on something that *you* wrote in, like, a week that you just *know* i would have, drop me a link! I'm sure i missed some stuff. I also have a long-time, haven't-seen-in-years friend coming by tomorrow or the next day and lo! my house is gross.

You know i'm feeling better when i start to eat again and i start to *clean*. Heh.

Last thing. I'm nursing a grudge. A petty, stupid, indulgent grudge that i bitched about to Snow and should just *let go* but my feelings are a little hurt, so... No, i'm not going to discuss it and no, it involves *no one* on my flist. It's just me being...petty. *sigh*

ETA! I almost forgot! The Monstrous Bebe made a fanvid! She plays 'Toon Town' and she made a vid to a Pink song - she'd love a comment! Cog Building.
