Yes, another update on what i think about Angel the Series! I know, i know, you've all been waiting with bated breath. Heh.
Anway, this is from 'That Old Gang of Mine' through 'Offspring', and there may be spoilers so i'll hide it all under
'Gang' - what can i say? Lame, lame, lame. Yes, i get that Gunn had some conflicting loyalties, and that he was confused and hurting and unsure. It was NICE to have a Gunn-centric ep. But jayzus! The 'bad guy' or guys just babbled on and on and on and no one - Gunn, Wes, Angel, *any* body, tried to stop them or talk to them or anything. Just got huffy and shouted 'shut up!' Sheesh.
And then we have the end where the 'bad guy' who did something 'bad' to some girl in Florida - it's never explained! - is eaten by a demon and Gunn's old gang goes off...mollified? Horrified? Hating Gunn? Who knows? We never find out! And by the next ep, all is, seemingly, forgotten, even by Gunn. *sigh* Lame!
High points? Ummm... Fred turning the crossbow on the 'bad guy'. Oh, and Angel doing his index-card apology to Merle. Merle rocks!
'Carpe Noctem' - a fun ep. Angel tottering around in the old man's body, and the old man coming on a like an utter sleaze-hound to Cordy, Fred, and Lilah. 'Angel' and Lilah on the desk! Wheeeee!! You know she'd been waiting her chance. And Angel gets a taste of her and of a few other people, but nobody is all 'Angel will go back to being evil now that he's tasted human blood again!'. I'm remembering that ridiculous 'withdrawal' speech Buffy gave Willow about Spike in season seven. Whatever.
Anyway, fun fun fun. DB does a lovely dirty old man. Heh. And it was fun to see 'Angel' all bouncy and excited about being a vampire. And also fun to see the old man sneaking around trying to escape the retirement home. Angel giving his 'let's just be friends' speech to Wes! Heeeee!
Of course, we DO have a heart-broken Fred who thinks Angel is in love with her - or at least might be - and her heart is totally ripped from her chest over the whole Lilah/desk thing. She's so giddy when he tells her to get pretty and they'll go out! *sniffle* And then, of course, the 'Buffy's alive!' news. *sigh* Please, can't i have my Angel without her?
'Fredless' - poor Fred! Trying so hard to block her horrible five years of terror, abuse and slavery. They did some clumsy 'these guys are really evol' things with the parents, but it was fun, nonetheless. I liked Fred's dad saying to his wife 'it's just a severed head!' and Angel swinging the 'prop' around all 'la la la' while the 'fake' blood spatters everywhere. Heee. And Fred's mom running the bug over with the bus!! Whoot!
And Fred stays, and paints over all her obsessive-compulsive scribblings in her room. Yay! I know that Fred really annoyed some folk, but I like her. And the vote, where Wes says - 'all in favor of Fred staying say Aye - Aye! Motion carried, she stays.' Heeeee.
'Billy'. Of course, the guy Angel freed is eeevol. Of course Cordy is guilt-stricken. *Whatever. Would it have been better if she had died? Gah.* Of course people go running around doing stupid things. I did love Cordy and Lilah having a 'battle of the shoes', and Cordy confronting Lilah over basically letting a misogynistic bastard wander around free who's getting women hurt and killed.
A Billy-touched Wes? Chillingly nasty and well done, AD! I love that Gunn realized it was happening and had Fred knock him out, and i loved Fred coming up with the fire-extinguisher/pit-trap trap to get Wes.
Noble, non-petty demons! Hee. And poor Wes, so guilt-stricken. Fred did good, coming to see him and not making a big deal of it. *hugs him*
This also really, really made my conviction that Lilah got in over her head stronger. She seems like she's doing her best to be 'evil' but at heart, she just is NOT. I like her.
'Offspring' - yes! More Darla! I love that she's just snarky, smirky, and still evol! Yay, Darla! Angel getting all paranoid about Cordy 'loving' him and everybody chorusing from Wes' office 'we love you, Angel!' - Wes and Gunn too! Too fun.
Darla being so freaking strong and getting a bite of Cordy - grabbing Lorne by the lapels and singing 'Oh Danny boy, what the hell is inside me' - hee! And then hunting children. I love Darla! I like Cordy's instant 'men suck you'd better be taking responsibility here, Angel' attitude, and Angel saying it's a 'hysterical' pregnancy. *snerk*.
Fun, fun stuff, and hopefully some more Angel-watching will happen tonight. In other news...well, there really isn't much. Had a fever yesterday and so today i feel like i've been run over by a truck. *sigh* I did manage to do the dishes, though. Heh. Now i just need to sweep and do the catboxes and mop and vacuum and clean the bathrooms...
Yeah, right. *waves* Hope everyone out there is having a good weekend despite the horrors of the past week. I wanted to especially say 'thank you!' to
thebratqueen for having so many links and updates in every post. I really should have another Angel icon for these posts...

Yeah. She needs to trap the entire hotel!
Heee.

I camouflaged them inexpertly with grass.
Never caught anyone - at least, so far I know...

Ummmmm...being five, hopefully they weren't too deep?
Heeee.

Probably for the best.

I loved both of them - so much - all the way through. The Offspring was one of my favorite eps all the way through. Angel is such a guy. Sheesh.
*licks and mauls*
no subject
Heh.
And i don't care if Fred is 'cute' - she's *cute*!! And Darla is sublimely evol. Like a vampire should be.
Stoppit now, that tickles.
Oooooh...icon squee!

She's cute and so smart! Sure, crazy but who wouldn't be for the love of all that's holy! And Darla? *swoons*
*wiggles icon enticingly*
*licks and nibbles*
*gropes*

Like - what, me? Sleep with Darla?
Actually, Cordy shouldn't have been too pissed - they WERE together forever. And...since Angel wasn't losing his soul when he slept with Darla, what was all that moaning and flailing?
After the sex, i mean.
You?
Are incorrigable.
*whaps your hands*
*not at all hard*
*wiggles*
*la la la*

Maybe he is just a post coital moaner and a flailer? Like it's something that always happens and it really had nothing to do with his soul at all? Some people snuggle, perhaps Angel flops about like a fish out of water and makes a bunch of noise. Huh...wonder if that would fit into a fic somewhere.
Incorrigible?
Yessssssssssssssssssssss. *continues mauling you without mercy*
Feel free to protest some more - I like it!

Dude. Post-coital Angel flailing and flopping and Spike sitting in the bed, lighting up a smoke and explaining to Xander *or Lindsey* 'oh, no, happens every time, he's not going evil'.
BWAAAAAAAHahhahaha!
*whaps you some more*
*with feathers*

S: *lights cigarette and shakes head* Nah, pet. It's just Angel...it's a thing. Used to drive Darla shit-house starkers, it did. *rolls fag in fingers* Now, about this 1/2... *pounces whilst Angel flails and moans*
*fade to black*
Ohhhh...feathers!! *snags fur mittens and stalks*

OMG.
Heeeeeee!!
Yes, when Xander is with Spike he THOR in the sack!
Heh.
*runs giggling madly*

Some of my favorite,Cordy, Lindsay, Wesley and Fred. And who can resist Puppet!Angel?
Hope you feel better soon.

Yeah, sometimes it's just the greatest show there is. Sometimes i wanna through something through my tv screen.
:)
Puppet!Angel!
Too fun.

I loved Fred from her first moment on screen to her last. Same with Kaylee of Firefly (If you haven't seen FF, their characters are remarkably similar); I know the cheerful characters get on some people's nerves, but damn. In the universes of unrelenting darkness that Joss creates, you NEED some shiny. LOL

Sometimes, you DO need the happy! I mean, in real life very perky people make me wanna hit 'em with a two-by, but Fred's perky is sprinkled with enough gallows humor that it works.

Yup yup!
To be a vegetable is sometimes fun.
