Gratuitous Kitten Post!

I know, i know.
But.
Kittens!!
Heeeeeee.

Seems our lovely little stray, Spot had kittens. And we despaired because she's very young and we weren't sure if they'd survived. Last night, suddenly, there were kittens! Wheeeeeeee!!!


I love kittens. We have three cats inside, and about five or so strays we feed and are getting/have gotten fixed. Spot's next, when the kittens are a little older. Then THEY'LL be next. Heh. I wish we could have them all inside, but seven cats in my house would be way, way too many.

Oh, no catching required - she'd live in the house if we let her. The other - her...half-brother who was in the litter before her - he's been fixed, and he wants to live inside, too, but he has feline lukemia, so...he can't.

He'd be a great indoor-outdoor cat for someone who didn't have any other cats already.

Oh, and you have Tony with a kittycat. How precious. He's a huge animal lover. He has a rabbit sanctuary and he's working with an agency that helps 3rd world countries with donkeys or something. He's totally into animals.

You and all your cats reminds me of my 94 year old aunt. God only knows how many cats she has and she feeds the rest of the neighborhood. Her house is really clean too. One of them scratched her and gave her that flesh eating bacteria. Some of her nephews threatened to get rid of her cats and she threatened to write them out of her will. LOL.

I'm quite happy with my one, fixed, cat, although in this case "quite happy" takes on it's special meaning of "downtrodden and cat-beat and thrilled there aren't tow of her" except...KITTIES! Oh, I want a kitten! A kitten which won't grow up to be a snotty overbearing demanding Elvyra... {sigh} There are no guarantees with cats, alas.

Awwwww. How sweet. I wish I weren't allergic. K wants a cat. Maybe once the dogs are gone (don't *really* want to think about that, but...)I'll just deal with it and take allergy meds. I know outside is an option, but I'm one of those people that wants everybody inside during h'cane season.

Spot and the kittens are beautiful! And of course Monstrous Bebe is too, as always. She looks radiantly happy.

It must be kitten season right now! My brother and his wife just a couple of weeks ago found a litter of stray kittens in the shed in their backyard. They've adopted them and tried to rescue the feral mother, but I think with no success in that regard. They hope to catch/neuter/release the mom, since they think she's hopelessly feral, but haven't been able to catch her yet.

But the kittens are adapting really well to being pets! I think they are going to keep two and give two away. If they were any closer to us than Florida, I'd be very tempted... Perhaps it's just as well they are not!
