Yay! I got tapped not once but twice! This looked really interesting, so yay! And thank you [livejournal.com profile] txrabbit and [livejournal.com profile] darkhavens.

1. Total Number of Books I've Owned: That would be in the thousands. Never actually counted them but, yeah.

2. Last Book I Bought: My memory is atrocious but I think it was a copy of The Phantom Tollbooth by Norman Juster. Gift for the daughter of a friend.

3. Last Book I Read: C J Cherryh's Destroyer.

4. Five Books that Mean a Lot to Me: Watership Down by Richard Adams
The Flame Trees of Thika by Elspeth Huxley
Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh
Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury
The Jungle Books by Rudyard Kipling

5. Tag Five People and Have Them Post This on Their Live Journals: Ah ha ha! Ummmm. If you've already been tapped and posted, sorry!

The icon is delicous!

Watership Down makes me cry every time I read it. And every time I watch my copy of the animation. ::sniffles::

Thanks for playing! :D

I have read Watership Down so many times I've had to buy additional copies. (I'm on my third. Seriously.) AMAZING novel.

Hmmm, would I have guess that Watership Down would be on that list? Think so! :-)

My mom gave Evan the Phantom Tollbooth last year, but I can't get him in the frame of mind to read it. However, I reread it, and enjoyed it again immensely (got to love anything with puns, especially logic and grammar ones). Evan is completely in love with dinosaurs right now and is currently immersed in the huge DK encyclopedia of same; I'm not sure when he's going to emerge and be interested in fiction again. I got him to read Dinotopia, at least...
