been following this and all your fic from the beginning....love your writing....the way you are able to bring things to life, vividly, is so important....just makes me want to devour this! The two of you are seamless with your storytelling.
I also follow other fics that you guys write, and am always so happy to see updates from you both! Thank you for taking the time and your considerable talents and giving us this wonderful ride!

It just occured to me as I read (it's been a bad week, I'm very slow this time!). You folks must be responsible for all that rain california is getting! Now if you're going to do that, could you at least redirect a littl of it back up to Oregon. We're way drier than we should be at this time of year, and I'm worried about how our summer and fire season will be if we don't get some rain building up water tables and helping the plants pretty soon.

How silly that it took me this long to realize. Now that I have, fix it please!

I'm very uneasy about how dry things are here. I'm not happy with what's going on with the climate, but I haven't looked in to it closely either.

The california people and the florida people are cut from the same molds I think. Build in places that Nature rearranges fairly regularly, water water water to have green grass instead of what was growing naturally, then get all bent out of shape when Nature does rearrange.

For the number of people who think that I'm living in a frozen winter wasteland of rain and snow, after this winter I'd almost consider SEattle, or Alaska. I haven't had enough winter weather at all yet. And I don't expect snow, just a couple of months of steady rain, so I can get tired of it. ::sigh::

I've had Leslie Fish's Mount Tam song in my head -- it's not exactly on target , but something about it made me start thinking about it after writing my last note to you. If you don't know that song, you can read the lyrics at http://www.prometheus-music.com/eli/filk/mounttam.html I used to have it on a tape, but that's been lost or missing for years. So once and again I'm checking to see if Fish's stuff is on CD yet. Her voice is, um, rusty might be a descsriptive word for it, lots of smoke and scotch have gone past those vocal cords I think. But the words of the songs are amazing!

And I was goign to send you a Dougie Maclean CD, but my CD burner decided it didn't know what I was talking about the day I was mailing things to you last week. So no go.

I've pretty much stayed at uneasy and oblivious for a while now, but I'm goign to have to poke my head out of my shell and admit that the sky is falling one day soon. Bleh!

It's better when you can hear it. But I haven't found an audio link or an available cd yet. :(

I think you have to go more covert than greenpeace for the violence part -- although it is a good start.

I do agree - time to do something, or past time. But I don't know what or how. I'm bairly keeping up with what's going on, which bothers me, but I hope eventually I'll catch up again and keep track.

Yeah. I was thinking that earth first is more known for violence than greenpeace. :-) I'm in the land of the tree sitters though - and tree huggers. Just ask any of the loggers around! Oregon's got a funny blaance of both. I'm on the tree hugging side myself - just quietly sitting in my corner, watching everyone else go by.

I want to like being active, but I'm too tired right now. :-| Maybe by the time the kid is older. I'm glad you can be active - if I can't manage I want someone to.

Made you another one.
Hmm I'm sending you those three, asap.
The new one is for Compass Rose. (Let me tell you that it's real difficult to find a nifty looking compassRose.jpg to 'play' with!)

Should be at your mailadress in .. idunno... soon.

Elena Jansen (Köln(Cologne), NRW, Germany)

yepp, you got some readers in Germany. :D

I think artwork pages would work. Put a link by the story if there's more artwork -- or figure a way to put the stories and the artworks all on one page. I'm much more likely to look at artwork with a speciffic story than to want to look at it for several stories at once.

"Xander Doesn't" is one I like a lot too. I think I want to have no regrets. It was a new thought to me when I read the story, so the story has stuck with me. But yours often do. :-)
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 06:30 am (UTC)
You could put something at the top of the story - or by the title. I looked to see if anything was there yet. No graphics are loading at the moment (well, an earlier moment) on your scarecrow horses page. You might want to look and see if you've changed your links or something - I couldn't get them to load for me no matter what on the main page. Except for the topmost one.
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 07:42 am (UTC)
firefox. But hang on, I'll look at them with Opera, which I was using before.

You're right. With Opera I can see them. But firefox doesn't find them. When I click on the view image option I get "The requested URL /scarecrow-horses/\\www.catbones.com\scarecrow-horses\img\fanfiction.gif was not found on this server." Which looks a little weird.
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 03:40 pm (UTC)
Oh look! There they are! So the code was screwy. :-) What was it - the wrong way facing slashes?
Thursday, March 17th, 2005 04:21 pm (UTC)
oh my my, you were up late and early.

so was I mind you, but I always figure other people have more sense than me. :-)

I've had that kind of thing happen too. I don't know how or why. I blame it on the coders -- like whoever wrote firefox has some detail that makes it look at things funky. :-)

Thursday, March 17th, 2005 04:43 pm (UTC)
:-) Me too, except with the time difference, it was earlier for you.

The annoying thing for me is we've got to be out of the house just before 10, which shouldn't be a problem, really, except I'm just not getting myself moving in the mornings at all right now. First it was apathy, and now I'm just *down*. Bleh.

I did send them to you... it's 15:05h and my email-programme told me my mail was successfully sended to you...

Let's hope it really is.

anyyywayyy, I'm also thinking about making a jpg for your story 'RainyDay', I just have to find a good picture of ASH. And I never really searched.
And topless, hmmm... difficult.

Cool, you got em.
And, whew, you say you like em. :)
Thanks
Friday, March 18th, 2005 10:06 pm (UTC)

And hey, did do another one.
This one is for 'Rainyday', and it's kinda glamourous, in a covered in something coffee-like way.

And I'm sad... I didn't find any Tony topless pictures.
So, I made the three men stare at you in a naughty way.

Check your email.

Eh? Words and a black square!!??
That sure is an interesting mistake of an email programme.
x_X

Weird.
And I encourage ALL email kickings there are! Let's give all victims of wrongly sended emails a ribbon. A *teal* ribbon. Something nasty for something nasty in return.

Eeek! Finally read this -- week has been filled with distractions and business -- and just left a huge-long comment over in the usual place.
