No! No guilt! Feel good, enjoy your ability to touch folks so. it's not gratuitous kitten kicking, it feels so real, like they're family and you share the pain when family suffers.
2:30 in the morning and I just had to read it. So very deep and moving. You can feel the pain, its like knives against your heart.
I'm so very glad you had her burial secret. I could never understand how they could have a headstone in public and then cover with the bot. And it seems much more, I don't know, personal than some of the more normal funerals. Very good, yet very sad. Well done.
This has been one of the most emotionally exhausting pieces I have ever read, I feel like I've been wrung out and left to dry, and I'm only half way through. (interuption due to pet emergency) I can't wait to read the rest, this was very much worth the wait. Thank you.
Kitten Kicking! I like that. :) Yeah, i like having an extra little 'family' to make pretty stories for and to...make it better when the story gets nasty.
Ummmm? I've BEEN to Korea... *Seoul was so COOL* but i'm afraid toilet paper wasn't a big part of the experience. My luggage was missing for two days! That was fun. :)
Ummm...Yay? Gads. I hope that's good, to be wrung out and left to dry. :) Is your pet all right? That sucks! I have cats. It's not nice to have their little eyes staring up at you, all mute and sad.
Get better, pet! And thanks so much for the fb. :)
Thank you thank you... Yeah, i thought the whole 'tomb in plain site' was stupid, too, 'specially since they were being all super-careful to make sure the 'bot 'passed'. Very silly.
Sorry about the knife thing. *looks around guiltily* :)
It's the restaurants. Every Korean restaurant you go to has toilet paper instead of paper napkins. The nicer places have a roll sitting out on each table. Until recently, however, their restrooms had none, and so you had to take some with you when you went to do your business.
Don't be sorry. Angst like that not only is appropriate, but will make the good things all the sweeter. Grieving is a part of life, and this was an excellent representation of it.
Oh its very good trust me, see this is why I truly suck at the fb comment thing. I know what I mean it just doesn't come over well in my particular brand of written word, although it never stops me from fb'ing *g*.
It was my cat and no he's not ok, poor walter has a re-occuring urinary problem, without going into detail we nearly lost him last time this happened, hence the legging it off to the vets, he's staying in for a few procedures and other unpleasant but neccessary stuff. Thanks for asking and I did absolutely love this chapter *g*.
So, it was half past six in the morning and I had to be at work for 12 noon and it seemed like a good idea to get some sleep beforehand, so I thought 'I'll just efresh my flist once more...' and so I didn't get to bed until gone 7am and spent the day more zombified than I would normally be. But it was definitely worth it!
And I agree, I never could understand why they'd have a tombstone and then pretend like she wasn't under it. Dumb. ;o)
BTW, you and your lovely fic have been pimped in bloodclaim.
Tabaqui, I can't tell you how impressed I am with your fiction. I've just finished reading Letters (over two days) and was simply excited as I as reading from your sheer talent. You seem to do it all--beautiful lyrical writing, extraordinary development of character--your Spike, all the detail of his inner life was brilliant, and wonderfully hot sex. Would you mind if I friended you?
Ooops! That refresh is a bitch, gets you every time. :) Hehe. Yeah, the whole tomb thing was dumb. Ah well. I think they just wanted that 'saved the world' line in there really bad.
Thanks for the note, i'm glad you liked! And thanks for the pimpin'. Heh. I think i need to join up at bloodclaim...do you do it at the site?
YW, though it wasn't me that pimped, but only because amejisuto got in there first. ;o)
