Great chapter sweets!! Love the anger/guilt/hurt in Xander simply because it feels so right to be there. Not that I like him going through it. I hate seeing Angel show up because he probably has that bloody amulet and I don't want Spike to use it. And the thought of Spike and Dru watching the Muppets? Worth my weight in gold and I ain't a skinny minnie. Lovely!

You're taking vacation time from the rest of your life to finish this, correct?

You're not?

Fine, then I'll just go post something cliffhangery myself. Nyah.

Yes, the poor dear. I wonder what he's up to now ...

Okay - finally got caught up on the last 3 parts. I suck, I'm slow. Loved the scene with Tara healing herself from the earth, very vivid, very moving with Spike, Oz and Derio almost vibrating with pain until they could touch her. You write incredibly vivid action scenes - can see everything, no confusion at all. The scene with Xander and Caleb - god, that hurts me. And then this:
"Tell me what - happened," he said and Spike cringed. He'd told him - over and over - but the drug and the shock kept making him forget.
That Spike had to relive and relive the moment...that hurt was almost physical. But then you leave us with a "family" moment and Little Women and Spike rolling his Muppets watching over to Dru - lovely, needed that. Huh - what's Angel doing there? Thanks again for this story, baybee.

Oh that damn amulet!!!! Just keep Spike, Xan and the boys and Tara and Dawn and Buffy and ... oh ALL of them safe please? LOL
Maybe Angel can use it this time. After all - he'll still go back to W&H won't he - albeit in an envelope - heh!
Have really been loving this series from the start and this chapter was so hard on poor Xan. Glad to see he's coming to terms with the injury.

Yea!

I'm so glad that you got Anya out of there. However, Xander is still without an eye. I thought we discussed this! *mock glare*

This continues to be wonderful. I bounced when I saw the new chapter up.

*snogs*

So glad Anya and Drake will be happy and safe off in England somewhere! Love them and their extended clan.

Well, it will be fascinating to see what you have up your sleeve with regards to Angel and, possibly, the fabled amulet. Will there even be an amulet? Tune in next time...

It ends just where it has to end, just as Xander had to bottom out, emotionally, and let out his grief and guilt and anger to get better... a nice air of logical inevitability about every word, and the compulsion to stay in a bad situation because it's family is one I relate to a little too well some days.

Strikes me as particularly well observed that of all the members of the link, it's Dawn who doesn't get why Spike is letting Xander use him as a punching bag. She's really only experienced severe trauma as a witness, they've all protected her precious skin very well, and she can't understand what's happening to Xander because of that.

Julia, the cliff hanger was also pretty inevitable, for both story structure reasons and canon reasons, so I'm cool with it

"You're good, too - you're one of us."

"M'not. M'only playing along, like. Soon as we kick the First back to some hell m'gonna go back to evil twenty-four-seven, just you wait."

"Okay," Xander mumbled, and snuggled closer - turned his face enough to kiss Spike's neck - kiss the scar that bound them so very, very closely. "I love my vampire big and bad..."

Aw, absolutely adorable. Yeah, he's still big and bad - like a pussy cat. *g*

So far, Xander and Derio owed Spike pretty much anything he wanted. Oz, whose poker-face was phenomenal, was in the black. Spike owed him a brand-new Les Paul.

Go Oz!

Loved the painhe family moment, and Xander watching the door because this is the hellmouth after all. *g*

And Angel! With that damn amulet? I never call tell for sure what parts of canon you're going to kick to the curb so you can do something better. ;o)

I just want them to go home and be safe. I really don't want Angel to be here and he better not have that damn amulet with him. And I just know I'm not going to get what I want. Another great chapter and I can't wait for your next update. Thanks.

Agh, Okay now I'm just mad at you for doing two thing really well. But if you really liked me you'd do three things well and update Credence too! (Like how I snuck that in there?) Cindy Lee
