So, it's quite possible this is shouting to the void, and everyone already knows/nobody cares.
But! I think it's useful, so i wanted to share.
If you would like to archive your Tumblr blog, there are two ways to do it (that I'm aware of):
This is how you do it if you have a WordPress account (and I know nothing about WordPress, so I don't know if an account over there is weird or good or whatever). But it makes your archived blog publicly accessible.
This is how to create an archive on your hard drive via a download. And if you keep using Tumblr and adding to your blog, you can just delete the old archive and download your blog again every month or so, if you want to keep it current.
So! Hope that's helpful. I wasn't aware that YAHOO had bought out Tumblr; I predict it won't be around for more than a couple years, max; Yahoo is the universal ruiner of all things.

Hiya, flist! Still cold as fuck here, with endless weather advisories of negative temps, frigid wind chills, and snow/ice/wintry mix/freezing drizzle. Fun times! Where's that early spring the little fuzzy bastard in Pennsylvania promised us?
Stay warm, flisties! And dry! We got flood warnings, too, here in Misery, and *tornado watches*, good lord.
*smooch*

I considered doing it but I never reblogged very much and already have my own content elsewhere so I didn't look into it.
The tornado watches indeed -- I swear it's going to become common in February the way we're going. We didn't have any problem here but our weather is a bit colder than yours which has probably helped, at least in that respect. We were supposed to have freezing rain today but it didn't happen.
Well, Yahoo bought out Tumblr back in 2013 but of course Yahoo has been part of Verizon since 2017 so that's actually Tumblr's parent company now. Yahoo still exists as a brand but not a company.
It might yet go away but given the amount of traffic and users it gets I think it's more likely it will be overhauled than shutdown.

I'm probably going to do a WordPress thing, just 'cause. I dunno. I'm still thinking it over.
We keep having tornadoes in winter for the past...five years, i think? Which was unheard of when i was a kid. And the last few years it's been winter winter winter spring for one week SUMMER TURN THE AC ON OMG!! I don't like these extremes.
I guess they bought it but hadn't done anything until now. Considering Yahoo killed a few platforms in the past, i have no confidence in them not to kill Tumblr, especially since the porn-bot thing is still a huge issue and that was like 80 percent of the point of this new system. So ridiculous.

I tried the tumblr version too, but again, if you have a lot of content, downloading it will take some time.
Re: cold: Stay indoors! Bundle up!

Hrrm! Something to think about. (I suspected WordPress was a pay site, but I couldn't remember. Thanks!)
HA, i wish. I stayed indoors and in my layers (or under my electric throw) all weekend, but now it's the workweek and must needs (dresses in as many layers as i possible while still looking tidy and professional).

Layering is cosy! But it just makes me want to huddle in, think of hot chocolate, and not work at all...

I don't really want to be at work, either, but - must needs! :D

Where do you live, if I may inquire? Sending warm wishes & a virtual hot chocolate with peppermint shnapps.... :-)

Good luck!
I'm in Missouri. Misery, they say.
