Whoops, yes, I skipped a day. I was really, really, really zoned, so...best to just wait. Plus, it got super-chilly here again, after being up in the sixties, so i was kinda hibernating, heh.
So, here we go.
In your own space, post self-recs for at least three fanworks that you created.
Well, that is not hard, heh. But what to choose?
The Five Stages of Grief. Written way back in 2007. Spike, Xander, Africa, grief. Combines my oldest OTP with my favorite trope: A chipless, soulless Spike is still a damn good egg. In his own way. :D
Aftermath 'verse. A pre-Dean/Sam 'verse of 'Sam got Dean out of Hell'. Another old fic (2008), and another trope I like, though only when written certain ways (picky picky); acknowledging the PTSD that Dean (and Sam) have got to have after...everything.
Susceptible series. Steve/Bucky, as seen from Sam's POV. A Sam who is bemused, charmed, alarmed, and maybe having some feelings. Ongoing, but these two are complete in and of themselves.
And there you have a rough arc of my fandom journey. Not seen: my super-early Harry Potter fic, and my side-forays into Firefly and RPF 'verses. :D
Commit an Act of Kindness.
Hrmmmmmmmmm...does doing the laundry for my Monstrous and her BF count? Probably not, as I'll hold it over their heads later. *snerk*
Uh - I don't, as a rule, like to publicly talk about things that I do that are 'acts of kindness'. Just...doesn't feel quite right. So we'll say...I do what I can to help, and if you ask me for help and I can, I will.
And there we go! All caught up. Now I must go do *my* laundry.

Hey, IMO clean laundry is well worth blackmail! (Our dryer just failed; I think years of lint & cat hair finally wore it out.... :-p)

Quite frankly, every single thing that Astolat has written in the fandom is utterly amazing: https://archiveofourown.org/users/astolat/works?fandom_id=136512
I adore her Draco, and her Draco/Harry is sublime, and her Harry delightful.
Oh noes, a dead dryer sucks! They might just be able to replace a part, though - lint can make it stop working, but it still *works*, if you know what i mean.

Yup, I'm pretty much convinced that pretty near everything Astolat ever wrote is amazing. I think she bathes in virgins' milk or something.... ;-)
No recs of your own HP fics? :: flutters ponylashes hopefully ::

My sort of sis-in-law took her dryer apart, basically, and vacuumed out all the lint and such, and baboom! It works fine.
She watched a youtube tutorial and did it all on her own.
Good luck!
I could swear i had another author with awesome HP fic, but I'm drawing a blank. Oh! This one from gyzym is very good: https://archiveofourown.org/works/9794657/chapters/21995357
Alas, my own HP fic is long gone from the 'net. Or maybe in the wayback machine, heh. I posted at um...hrmmmmm....
Well, it was on a site where you did it via email and i literally have no clue, at all, what it was.
Sorry!

A pre-Dean/Sam 'verse of 'Sam got Dean out of Hell'
I always think of this period of writing as somewhat unique, especially now when a lot of stuff is binge watched and you don't have a whole fandom in lock step watching in real time.
I mean, I'm sure lots of fandoms are still doing creative things during a season hiatus thanks to cliffhangers -- especially since a hiatus can now be a year or more. But I always remember this not only because there was such a boom in this specific type of fic, and so many stories were very creative about how events would play out, but perhaps more so because of how the show kind of side stepped the whole thing, didn't really involve Sam at all in Dean's release, and instead started a new era by introducing Castiel.

And yes!
I loved how everyone in the fandom, it seemed, had a unique idea about how it would all work out. I think with *every* season ending, at least in Supernatural (the bigged tv series/fandom i've been in), so much creative stuff - art, writing, meta - went on during hiatus.
Still does, really, but it doesn't seem *quite* as intense as it did then.....
