"I know you're gonna be here in a couple of days - that's the point. Bring the keys an' the deed to the house on Crawford Street, yeah? Why? 'Cause we need it, that's why... Can't imagine why you'd want to do that - oh! Except that you're an ignorant paddy who couldn't give a fuck about -You miserable fucking bastard -" Loved this line!!
And the old school Scooby meeting mood!!!
And the Faith/Spike face-off...
*gleeful bounce complete with straddle jump*

Eh...I was a cheerleader...oh, 15 years ago. Ooops. Calming down. :::giving large grin instead:::

How could you leave it there??!! Are you trying to hurt me? Evil woman! More - want more NOW!
*clicks refresh button repeatedly*

Spike, of course, would find the blood-red lining in any cloud, and Xander had to smile at him.
Hee! Now that's my Spike, always seeing the positive.

Loved the snacks and the old school Scooby meeting. And Tara's crush on Fred. And Ethan being well. Oh, and Drake's family helping out. And most of all, no Willow - yay!

Another great chapter, babe! Love it, love ya. Can't wait for more ;)

Ethan's better! Yay! The excavation of Crawford St.! What a brilliant idea to go there.

Faith. Hm. Has to be there, of course. I never warmed to Faith.

Hey, what about Connor? Didn't you have Connor in some earlier chapters?
Monday, September 13th, 2004 01:17 am (UTC)
I hope they left Connor with someone. If I recall, there was a bit where Connor was all by himself in the Magic Box until Spike came in to babysit.

I'll have to re-read that (oh, the trauma), becuase I must have misunderstood.

Ah, there it is, Spike went in early. I read in chunks when I'm really into a story, so I missed it. Bad me.

Oh, this was wonderful!

I loved the *family* image of them all sitting at the table, eating goodies that Ethan and Giles brought home, and discussing what was going on. The hominess of that was so incredibly appealing.

This was such a pleasant interlude for this dangerous time for the scoobies! So many lovely bits -- Oz and Derio curled up together, Spike gleefully anticipating the use of the vampire-strength manacles, Xander's pop culture reference (I got such a laugh out of that!), Drake's suggesting that Spike take Anya out so that she could tell him about their sex life instead of telling his mother, and even the suggestion of Tara/Fred!

Wheee! Thank you for such a delightful chapter. I'm looking forward to the next one with great anticipation!

So now I'm wanting sweets and a trip to London to get them. Imagine that. ::grin:: It's kinda sad not to have Willow be there but it fits the story. and I love Tara's crush on Fred! ::grin::

Wonderful new chapter. Perfect thing to wake up to.

::hugs::

Ethan! All shiny and new! (Or unrepentently corrupted, as the case may be...) and no longer all pokey and prickly so he and Spike can get up to mischief together! Hee!!

Tara and Fred! Fred has the ruthlessness that Tara lacks and without Willow's conflicted imbalance. I like!

Drake's Indiana Jones family fetching potentials! Wax-on, Wax-off mansion cleaning potentials! Hee! And Drake begging Spike to talk to Anya about his new sex trick so she won't tell his mother. Just. Died. Hee, hee, hoo...

To Tara: Please be so kind as to place a muffling spell on Spike and Xander's room so as to remove Xander's inhibitions about indulging in a little bondage. With sincere thanks - [livejournal.com profile] ailise and other discriminating connoisseurs of porn.

Most excellent chapter, one thing though I have the sudden urge for jaffa cakes *makes mental not to pick some up when shopping*

I wish the series could have gone more along these lines, I know, I know I whine as usual it's just I'm enjoying your version so much more *g*

Hee! I was happy to help, and I actually went to bed last night wondering who was going to end up with what goodies in this chapter. LOL!

Spike rummaged for his flask and poured a bit in his tea. Xander had tried it before it was adulterated with whisky and decided he'd like it iced and sugared better. The looks of shocked horror on the three expatriate's faces had made him laugh.

Oh yes. Iced tea just hasn't caught on over here at all. Hee!

I can so see Anya discussing Drake's bedroom techniques with her mother-in-law. ROFL!

Loved it! Soooooooooooooooooo much better than Joss's mess. ;o)

And Dawnie got the French Fancies! Perfect! And Glenfiddich... ::whimpers:: Wonderful stuff.

I did find something that needs fixing - *Thank gods there room enough for us to be private - 'there' needs an apostrophe and an 's'.

I read this, this morn, before I was really coherent, but coming back to it...
I'm amazed.
Your handling of the canon material is fantastic. I keep mentally tracking and grinning to myself.

This bit, simple and real, so works for me: Xander leaned over into Spike, anticipating the strong arm that came around him and sighing in contentment.  Dawn back in the link, and Tara there and not there, as well - some sort of ripple in the air that wasn't quite the same but that was her, without doubt.  It felt good - felt right -...
I think I was anxious for that... the pack together and humming for Xander. For all of them, despite the gurgles of the hellmouth....
You're brilliant.
*smooches*

Finally! Whoo, have been far too tired from the daily chasings of a 13 mth. old to focus on anything longer than 1000 words at a time. I'm so glad I waited until I wasn't nodding off at the 'puter to read this. Loved this chapter on so many levels. Oh, you so had me with all the English goodies. My city lost an awesome international bakery/deli/candy store last year and some days I think I'll murder someone for an Aero bar or some Jaffa cakes.

Oddly enough, the Crawford St. Mansion stuff sucked me in the most. Picturing them cleaning and going through everything. So, what’s in the back store room, huh.

Oooh, oooh and Tara/Fred? I like it.

And tomorrow? I plan to tackle the ‘Credence’ update!
