First - a little personal news update.

Saw my mom and sis for the first time since my mom moved to NC with my sister last spring. My sister has a time-share, so they stayed there (in Branson), and drove up to town every day to go through and pack up the rest of the stuff mom wanted to take with her. Monstrous Bebe and I went up for an overnight. It was so nice to just sit and talk! We also went through the *old* Xmas ornaments, the ones that my mom's parents had, some that came from Germany with *their* parents, and divided them up, so all of us have a few of the old ones, now. They're so very pretty.

Anyway - here's the view from the time-share, and mom and sis as we were sitting out having breakfast.

Also, Elf went to Prom at the end of April.
She'd gone before with her girlfriends, but this year a guy asked her. She made her bff Arica make sure the guy understood it was *just as friends*, heh. They all had fun, though, and I met them at the park to take pre-Prom pictures. Everyone else in town was there doing the same!

Snow said the Monstrous' dress made her look like a mermaid - I have to agree! :)

Aaaaand, while I didn't finish in time to make the deadline, the Space AU fic I'm working on is still being written. I just don't get any art. *sniffle* But I'm going to post a snippet here, just to...put it out there. I want to post *so much* but refuse to do so until it's finished. So - here's a short scene during a raid on an enemy outpost by Jensen and his unit of ANGEL soldiers....

Dig them out, bring them up - impulse and command - and the platoon moved as one entity, sinking shaft-cutter bits down into the rubble and sending the EMPs in after, the Gibborim shifting chunks of bunker out of the way, and the Naphaim scouring it clear with blasts of incandescent fire. A crack in the rock at Jensen’s feet showed weak light - tool-cut tunnels and shadows, moving - and Jensen keened in sheer, reflexive blood-lust.

Helel, bunker is breached, we’re going in, copy!”

Negative, Jensen.” Morgan’s voice was rough and brittle, fury barely held in check. “They want the Federals to clean it out, think they got intel down there. Finish your sweep and report back, over.

Jensen stood panting on the crumbling lip of the fissure, his entire body shaking in minute tremors, his go-pack pumping in potassium and sodium and all the other minerals he’d depleted in the minutes since plunging off the cliff face. It spiced his blood with opiates and stimulants and heat, making it impossible for him to be still. No fucking way were they going to retreat now, not while there were still Sticks left. Jensen lifted his head, impulse fired through the net-com, and saw his troops still and turn and flow toward him, inexorable.

“I see troops massing, long-range weapons and bio-suits, we need to contain and nullify. Going in, off-link, out,” he snapped. He shut down the link and took a shuddering breath and then, as one, thirty-six Nephilim dove from the fissure’s edge like swimmers into the sea, the metallic fins of stabilizing ailerons glittering as they fell.

The ice-rock-rubble of the crater heaved again and then was still as the first Federal dropships touched down.

I'm also going to post a couple abandoned WIP Buffy fics that I know i'll never, ever finish but can't just consign to the dusty archive of my HD. Look for them later today/tomorrow, both here and on my AO3 account.

And last but not least - a bit of fandom 'stuff' - the movie meme!

Everyone should post their ten most CRUCIAL CRUCIAL CRUCIAL-ASS movies, like the movies that explain everything about yourselves in your current incarnations (not necessarily your ten favorite movies but the ten movies that you, as a person existing currently, feel would help people get to know you) (they can change later on obviously).

Oh, my, yes. So here is me, so to speak, in a nutshell.

Auntie Mame.
Alien.
Jaws.
Labyrinth.
Legend.
Ravenous.
Kelly's Heroes.
Heroes.
The Fifth Element.
Blade Runner.

So there you have it - me and mine and fandom, oh my. I'm quietly going nuts waiting for the Supernatural finale, and my 'readme' bookmark folder looks like this, (linking 'cause it's a big image), and the folders inside it (folder name and etc.,) all look like this. Yeah. Folders inside folders. Basically, I am never. Catching. Up.
*headdesk*

How are *you*, dear flisties? :)
