Well first, inspired by [livejournal.com profile] roxymissrose, i'm putting a link to a picture of the Monstrous Bebe. 'Cause she's so damn cute!
This is one of her new sets of school clothes and she was just so excited about it!
Monstrous Bebe
Mommy's girl!!

Second, i had a freakin' dream this morning/early afternoon when i lay back down. (Stayed up chattin' with [livejournal.com profile] chocgood84 and was just. So. TIRED.
So i lay down and then i had this

Okay, i've read in various posts on my flist about people dreaming about LJ, dreaming about BtVS, dreaming about Spike, Angel, whathaveyou. The last dream i consciously remember having about a 'famous' figure was about three years ago i dreamed i was watching TV with David Bowie in my parents bedroom at my childhood home. Too weird.
Anyway. I dreampt that 'Spike' (not Mr. Marsters) was dead. And he was lying on the ground behind my house. Where there is a barb-wire fence and then lots of trees. And i mean...DEAD. A corpse so far gone that when Cat and i picked him up he fell apart at the waist and was slimy and horrible in my hands. I know, i know, vampire=dust, but there he was... Red shirt, leather duster, jeans, boots...gah. I had to pick him up and get him over the fence - we were trying to get him out into the woods so the little scavengers could take care of him. *shudder* It was icky.

THEN! We're back inside and there's SPIKE. Red shirt, etc. Lying on my floor, and we have to wake him up and he has NO memories and in that weird folding of dream-time, soon he is an actor in a tv show, small parts but getting better, still in the red shirt and duster, all happy and bouncing around and i'm on the set for some reason and the awful, disintegrating corpse keeps popping back into my head, all stuck with dead leaves and... It was weird, and left me slightly unsettled. And pouty 'cause no sex of any kind was had.

*Yawn* Must go finish WAY too much stuff. Jayzus i'm behind. 'Changes' chapter, S/X pornathon fic, tag on [livejournal.com profile] wts_tagstory, maybe, possibly, today, update 'Credence', attempt to ignore two hovering, biting, annoying plot bunnies that have ALREADY forced me to write paragraphs...
ACK!

Awww. But she's just too adorably cute. Pretty in pink.

Way weird dream. And no sex! Now, that's just odd. ;)

Go have a kip and then everything will be just fine. The writing fingers will be in good order and pretty updates to come. :)

Urgh! Not fun. Bills. Cook! *steps back in horror* Nope, not my thing.

*looks around at grubby house* Maid! I need a maid! I'd be really nice to her/him and pay money and everything.

You know the Quentin Crisp theory? Just leave it for long enough and the dust doesn't show. I like that. :)

Of course she's your sweetie! She's lovely.

I bought a lottery ticket. I got naff-all. :(

Hehe. Got you beat. I've been married for 26 years. *horrified* That's so scary!

Ooh, vacuuming, or, as the poms like to say, hoovering, is just uncomfortable. It's not natural. *shakes head* Nope, there are better things to do with your time.

I'm having the whole house done out with hardwood floors and none of the carpety nonsense.

Wood floors work until you have tables or chairs without wide feet, then you have to put a rug under them.
Also, gravel caugth in your trainers can damage them.
But yes, way easier than carpet on the whole.
Though there's the whole rainforest destruction problem - I worry about such things.

OMG!!!111eleven!
Once again we demonstrate our twinny-ness for I are too a plaid and argyle lover!

I own the most enormous collection of argyle socks this side of Prince Charles wardrobe! *hugs you mightily!*

Anthony Andrews! I just watched The Scarlet Pimpernel with Sir Ian and him! So young and pretty!
Saturday, August 28th, 2004 09:26 pm (UTC)
Okay, you two are scaring me with your argyle evol-ness.

Mostly cause I was already scared of your nasty disintegrating corpse of Spike image, double helping of yuck there.

And cause I'm too lazy to make an original comment. Your Bebe is too cute! I just love that age and the getting to dress 'em up part.

*smiles fondly*

What a cutie! I must confess a little envy. I have two boys who have absolutely no interest in being "dressed up" for the first day of school. All school shopping is of the practical sort -- many, many pairs of jeans, t-shirts/sweatshirts with the favorite colors of the moment, and of course sneakers. Not for me the cute strappy sandals that my best friend with the two girls gets to buy, no sir... Oh well, I do get to skip her current headache, which is that she has to curb her 7-year old from trying to dress like a teenager. I will never have to tell my kids they can't wear a mini-skirt to school. At least, I don't think so... Oh man, I just tempted Fate with that last comment, didn't I?

Metasexual hotties!! ***Snerk*** The hotties part is highly unlikely given that they have genes from me and my husband. They're awfully cute at the ages they are now, I do believe, maybe I'll post a picture on my journal now that you've given me this idea.

My friend with the two daughters feels your pain about the clothes shopping -- and her mother has joined the consumer conspiracy and *bought* her granddaughters some of those pants -- the 7-year old demanded them while she was visiting Nana and Nana caved. My friend was furious.

The weird thing is that these girls (I feel like they are almost nieces to me or something, they've lived next door their whole lives and my boys play with them almost every day) are so fashion-conscious at the ages of 5 and 7. They know what looks are "in" and they even know the names of some designers. They don't get this from their mother, that's for sure! It must be coming from school. One day my friend was reading the paper and her elder daughter saw an ad for shoes on the back and got excited -- because she recognized the name Jimmy Choo! Now why should any 7-year old know Jimmy Choo's name?

ee, 'eck as like, when I were a lass, I wore what I were given till I got a Saturday job - mind you I were only 12 then..
But yeah, bad mixed signals with the youth fashions.
Saturday, August 28th, 2004 09:35 pm (UTC)
I hate the fashions for young girls right now. Too old, too fast. I started years ago pointing out the girl's dressed inappropriately to both my daughter AND my son and saying, "Good idea? Bad idea?"and making gentle fun of the "Hoochie Mamas" I thought this was getting my message across until I caught my daughter (age 10) trying fool me into letting her go to a community dance (4th and 5th grades ONLY) wearing her bathing suit top under her other shirt. Aaack!

I have to confess I'm a sucker for shoes so some of the footwear choices we make are not made in the name of safety!LOL

I'm thinking maybe the post title should be "No 'Choos' for you..." LMAO
Friday, August 27th, 2004 09:15 pm (UTC)
Wow, she is so cute. Just adorable.

Look at monstrous bebe! So cute!!!

You hadn't, by any chance, been listening to "Dead Leaves and Dirty Ground" by the White Stripes, had you? Or reading Cousin Jean's fic with that title?
Saturday, August 28th, 2004 09:24 pm (UTC)
when you had the dream, I mean.
Saturday, August 28th, 2004 11:29 pm (UTC)
Um... maybe -
<ahref="lj://user/randomthought.addr.com/redemptionista/index2.html">cousin Jean
Does that work? My linking skills aren't great.
I haven't read it yet - huge backlog of fics awaiting me.......
I just thought your mention of dead leaves, and the link with the Spike/Buffy fic might have indicated that that's what sparked the dream.
Saturday, August 28th, 2004 11:42 pm (UTC)
OK, that last one goes to the Dancing Lessons website - you choose "Fic extras", then author, Cousin Jean, then there's a list of her fics, which are pretty well all Spuffy.
And spiffy!

What a cutie pie!
