It's me again! :) And this journal is starting to oddly resemble a gardening one. Or something. Please don't let the pictures fool you - i *do not* garden. I am horrible at gardening. I kill things nobody else can kill, mostly through total loss of memory about the existence of said thing. I forget to water, to move, to prune....

Which is why i love bulbs and my yard that is mostly flowering weeds. :)

Speaking of - for the last couple of weeks, the honeysuckle has been in bloom. Oooh, it's so wonderful. You step outside - or you just get a breeze through the window - and you are enveloped in the scent. I love it so much.

I wish it would cover the back fence, too. But, see, the thing is...as much as i Do Not Garden, i dearly *love* plants. Vines, trees, flowering things...i love them. I would have a house full if a) i didn't kill them all (history will not be kind) and b) didn't have cats that thought eating and digging in potted plants a fine, fine pasttime.

So i got a nice hanging plant for mom's day. :)

It's called 'Hawaiian Luau', and it has four different colors of flowers - probably four different plants in one pot. I love it, but it needs watering daily or it wilts into sad little strings. I am persevering at remembering. :)

And so, that's my post for the day. Tomorrow, I think i'm going to do the meme that [livejournal.com profile] trishabooms tagged me in ages ago.

(P.S. - it's low seventies and just lovely outside. Would that it would stay this way until August!)

Wow! i love the hanging pot and of course, the honeysuckle. I need to cultivate some of that along my fences too.

i'll just have to start poking you every day and asking about watering the boys plant. :)

*luffs all over you*

Oh nice. Your honeysuckle is way further forward than mine, but so are your temperatures! *g*

Purty hanging plant, but yeah, the having to remember to water is the downside - we will do a communal nudge to remind you... :)

The honeysuckle is gorgeous :)

And I like the hanging basket. We have them hanging from the walls but I sometimes too forget to water and they are totally unforgiving if you forget and die as a punishment. I know because I have been punished by many.

Hanging basket are hard to keep alive! They're lovely though.

Oh, lovely! We allegedly have a honeysuckle in our garden, but it hasn't flowered in donkey's years. I'm trying to resurrect it, with limited success. I mean, it finally appears to be growing again, but nothing remotely resembling flowering.

Those pictures are lovely and I think you and I share gardening skill levels! I try more and more to think of ways to make the yard and garden maintenance-free. My one effort is to plant some annuals in the front of the house, where I can't avoid seeing them. That's the only way I remember to water -- seeing them wither in front of my eyes.

I know just how you feel about gardening. I love plants and don't actually mind rooting around in the dirt I just have the worst case of "Black Thumb" imaginable. I am a fantastic weeder; if you want to rid your lawn of dandelions, I'm your gal (though I admit not even my formidable talents are defeated by fennel), but if you want bulbs put in best lock me in the house and possibly put up a warding circle of some kind to protect them. lol.

Hi right back atcha :-)

It's nice to be seen, lol.

I can nurture bulb plants, but if I put them in the ground myself I may as well be trying to get rocks to bloom.

(Oh and I meant to say that even my talents were *not* up to defeating fennel. It's my herbacious Kryptonite!)
