To the new year.....

Hello, all my lovely, lovely friends!

2011 has been a hell of a year. Some good, some bad, some rotten, some amazing. But here we all are, still reading and writing and debating and squeeing and loving and hating and flailing about.

All of you were lovely and supportive and made me feel *so* much better when i was in hospital and recovering - thank you so much! And i feel privileged and honored to have shared in your own stories of triumph and loss and growth and discovery.

I can't think of any place i'd rather be.

Many, many blessings for the new year! And if you're somewhere where the year has already ticked over...how's it looking so far? :)

This is my 'experimental' post, seeing how it works from over here at DW. Feel free to comment at either site, i'm not picky.



Bonus Annalee the dog and Jack the cat! :) Yes, this was basically our Xmas card this year, only Cat put 'Happy Holidays. LOL' on it. Ack.

A voice echoes out of the ether...

Dear Miss Tabs :-)

Haven't posted in LJ forever; most of my friends have abandoned ship for the inherent force of evil that is Facebook for their daily news and wading through that mess takes about all the 'social networking' enthusiasm I can muster. Still I wanted to let you know that you still cross my mind more often than you'd think and I'm wishing you well from most of a continent away.

That picture is awesome; your Bebe is a babe even if no longer one in arms. And the fella with the beard isn't exactly hard on the eyes either;-) And you...well, you just have that gorgeous glow about your smile and your eyes that comes through in your writing (as I describe in such excruciating detail in that mortifyingly maudlin and florid, yet not inaccurate, fan-post I wrote you that one time when I was stoned on sleeping pills.)

Anyway, maybe I'll try to get back on the LJ horse again in the NY. I'd like to make comments about my life that do more than boil it down into pithy little 3rd person sound bytes. PS BTW is there a PDF file of "Changes" around anywhere? It's kind of a security blanket for me...*blushes profusely*...and I'd like to download it to my e-reader. An epub file would be a wet dream as they're easier to read, but I'd be delighted with just a PDF. I'd be endlessly grateful if you could please point me in the right direction. Actually, any of your stuff would be nice to have, but I'm looking especially for both halves of "Changes". Thanks for any help you can give me :-)

Hi! Man, it's been ages. TOO LONG! I miss your posts. I hope you're well? Hope things are going good for you? I hope you and yours a fortunate and peaceful 2012!

Thank you! The Bebe is 14 now, and it's all going by much too quickly. It's insane and a bit skeery, really. Am i doing this 'mom' thing right?!!! She's in color guard at school - they're the group that comes out at half time at the football games and does a routine with the marching band. The twirl flags and rifles and sabres - she loves it.

Ah ha ha - i'll pass your comment on to the SO. :) The other, well...you make me blush, bb. *smooch*

All there is of Changes right now is two .zip files you can dl at my website, which are folders with .doc files. .doc files you can only really read in Word or wordpad. I'm looking at how to convert them to a .pdf or an epub - i'll keep you updated!

I use FB mostly to keep in touch with my far-flung family, but i *do* have a couple of lj besties on there....:) Look for the snowy blue jay icon!

I'm so glad to hear from you - hope to see you around more this year!
