Adventures in spaaaaace are either a hilarious series of sketches staring Captain Link Heartthrob, First Mate Piggy, and Dr. Strangepork, or - the chance to write an epic Supernatural fic with the boys traveling across the galaxy, fighting space monsters and going to warp drive!

spn_in_space is taking sign-ups for the first annual (i hope) 'in space' challenge. I wanted to sign up but the deadline is, sadly, too soon for me. However - if you think you've got the time and the idea, pop over and join in! There can never be enough fic in space!

Sign ups, rules, etc. are all here. Crossovers are welcome! Only two days left to join!

In other news - it's cold! My internal thermostat seems to have been reset and i *cannot* get warm. Electric blanket up to eight, jackets and hoodies and socks, it's insane. I can't help but think it's a by-product of all the health garbage from earlier this year, but who knows!

Well, i just wanted to plug that challenge - i love space stories, and it would be too cool if some of my favorite authors would sign up to write.

I think i'll go...jog in place. Anything to warm up my toes.

You could crew Serenity with SPN characters, or send Sam and Dean through the stargate.. Ooh! What about Starship Troopers? Sam with his special powers battling telepathic bugs instead of demons! Hee!

They could run a space salvage ship and constantly get into freakyass shit that people talk about for months but never to their faces cos those guys are batshit and either one of them would happily shoot you for looking at the other one funny.

Arrgh, i can't see a dog. All i'm seeing is that stupid robot thing from Battlestar Galactica and i cringe.

BUT!! There are extraterrestrials. And there's one alien/local/whathaveyou that is normally just energy but they're *so* curious about humans they make themselves human shapes and wander around and sometimes do good stuff or stupid stuff or silly stuff and because they're very impressionable and because earlier settlers saw their energy forms and got a little wigged they're called...angels.

Hey there. I've been stupidly bitter about my show and folks telling me why I should hate it and how great it used to be and I just don't FEEL that way--*takes deep shaky breath* but you should definitely make everyone you know write great sf stories featuring the boys because it would be *perfect* yes!!! I want smart, snappy science fiction flavored stories to hug and hold on to and call...well, not Squishy, something whatev.

I think I have a fever--hows about great big fluffy hug to warm you up? I promise not to cough in your direction, too! By the way, how am I supposed to cough in the crook of my elbow? I'm too fat and my arms are too short...unless I'm doing it wrong?
