Update...and a lot of screaming!

Hallo! Seems like i haven't updated in forever!
I made this post and did 'preview' about fifteen times and there was an error *every damn time* on stuff i *know* was right! So i'm sorry the recs have no links, they simply would not *work*.

Now for the news - i'm getting visitors!! Wheeeeeee! Well, okay, me and pretties_4u are getting visitors. sweptawaybayou, ely_jan, luvsbitch and mjsslave are all coming to my hometown to hang!! Whooot! And get tattoos, and eat at Maid-Rites and babble like babbling fools. And it's Snow's birthday that weekend!! So there will be *cake*.

savoytruffle is posting a sequel to her brilliant story 'They Tell Me It Rained'. Called 'Over a Cardboard Sea', it's post-everything Spike and Xander, different and wonderful.

nwhepcat is also doing a sequel, to her wonderful 'Keeper of the Book'. Go and read 'Another Door' - Spike, Xander, Wes, Faith - it's all good! And yes, slashy. :)

_cee is writing a Supernatural AU called Rituale Romanum. Priests. Faith. Temptation. It's lovely.

winterlive graced us all with RPS! Heh. The 'Supernatural' boys, and it's fun and hot and just damn good. 'Storm Coming On'. Yes.

Speaking of, because i'm a freak, i let Winter and darkhavens con bully talk me into the Supernatural fandom. And i'm not even watching the show! So here's a little ficlet i wrote and posted over in Darkhavens' new community, kaz2y5. It's a challenge community, and the first challenge was Broken. My response:Fixable. Go and check out the challenges - be inspired - have fun! :) Reremouse cheered me on, as ususal. Heh.


I'm hoping to have more 'Scaling Heaven' up soon, i sort of got all off the writing train over the holidays. But i'm working on it! :)

Damn, I was hoping Iowa City.

The Maid-Rite near my Hephometown is known for the stripe of used chewing gum that rings the entire building, from people going through the drivethru and sticking their gum on the brick. The pen-and-ink postcard they sell actually has the gumdots depicted.

There is no drive-through here. They have 'loose' meat hamburgers and concretes to die for. Yis.

Home-town business, same owners for years and years - since before i was born!

The one near Heptown does the loose-meat burger, too! (And so does the one in Iowa City.) The drive through is just a window, basically. The place looks like a bar & grill.

I wonder what the connection is.

Hrmmm, i dunno. This is the only one i've ever seen. It's totally like Happy Days or something - red vinyl booths and 'western' style swivel chairs... It's not a franchise, as far as i know.
