I'm all excited all over again. Another podfic! I dunno why it's so flail-inducing, but it just *is*.

So - [livejournal.com profile] twasadark asked to make podfic of my Supernatural story The Song of the Treadmill, and of course i was flattered and said yes.

It's now available for download in several places, but i'll just give you all the one link.
:)

Treadmill Podfic.

Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] twasadark, so very much! It's lovely!

*twirls around*

ETA: And there is cover art! By [livejournal.com profile] cybel! You can see it here. :)

Be expecting another podbook soon as I have time to listen and work up a cover--unless there's already art for the story?

So looking forward to listening as I've not read the story yet (yes, I fail just that much!).

Yeah...

I keep thinking I should treat myself to an iPod. I like the idea of having all my music just *there* you know? I ponder it too long though and talk myself out of buying one; would I really use it or would it just be a waste of money, that kind of thing.

I dunno. *sigh*

*grin* Glad you approve.

As I told twasadark, I wanted to do the story justice. It was wonderful!

I just listened to the podfic and was so overwhelmed by your story that I had to find you and tell you. I love multiverse stories and what they tell about how different environments shape a character (and how much remains from universe to universe as if inherent in a person), but you went far beyond that: the plot was new and exciting and the narrative beautifully paced and visually stunning. I wonder if it worked better because I listened to it, but I was really spellbound, happily folding laundry, because I could hear some more :)

I love the way both Sam and Dean are scarred but learn to depend on one another (esp Dean); I love the side characters, both the OCs and the slightly warped canon ones; I love the world and even more so how you reveal it--hinting with the first refusal of Ellen taking dollars and then being so tightly in Sam's pov of registering differences without exactly understanding what they mean (and not asking because he's both still too traumatized of being here and maybe doesn't want to know).

Anyway, thanks for an amazing story!!!

That's wonderful! I'm so pleased for you. Maybe she'll do one of your Spander stories sometime? I would love that so much.

Last week I listened to "Song of the Treadmill" while I was working; what a great way to make a living. Thank you so much both for writing/posting and for allowing that excellent podcast.

I just got through the podfic of this and having never actually read the fic before I guess it had even more impact on me listening to it like this. You have this huge gift for description, for painting a picture of the environment and the feeling of being *in* that environment that really makes a story come alive.

And then towards the end when a character mentioned that Sam had only been in that world for 7 days I had to do a double take because it felt like *I'd* been there forever. This was a really great reading of an excellently written story.

Ever fandom has a fic like 'Song of the Treadmill' - a classic, everyone has read it and recommended it - a Must Read.

Unfortunately, this story has been on my reading list forever and I never had time to sit down and enjoy it. Thursday I downloaded the podfic and Friday I finally got to listen to it at work.

'Song of the Treadmill' is everything I hoped it would be and nothing I expected. The writing is lyrical and poetic. The characterization is fascinating - slightly slanted, but honest versions of Bobby, Sam and Dean - original characters that hold up. A unique and well-executed premise.

I suppose I'm not the first person to fall in love with Sam-dog.

The story made me ache for the boys and soothed the hurt at the same time. Beautiful work.

I listened to the podfic and really loved this story, especially the Dean characterization. Also, this contains what might well be the hottest Sam/Dean sex scene I've read yet, so, uh, thanks for that. :)

Do you have a master fic list somewhere? What's the easiest way for me to find all of your SPN stories?
