The Weekend!

Yes, i'm in a weird mood.
Anyway, just a sort of non-update update. Tomorrow i'm going to visit my mum and dad for the weekend. Them i'm coming home and the Monstrous Bebe is staying with them for a week! Yay!! She gets some concentrated time with her Avoa and Avu, and i get a break!

Anyway. 'Changes' will be updated Sunday, but probably late Sunday, sometime after i get back home. I can't post from their, OR get email, so i won't be able to get my beta'd copy until then.
But hey, it'll still be Sunday!

Hopefully, i'll have some time to write while i'm up there. I'm so used to staying up late, they all go to bed around eleven or midnight and i'm good for a couple more hours, so... Just have to use the truly awful 'regular' keyboard my folks have. Ack!

And a question - and yes, this pertains to 'Changes', although gods know i shouldn't be going there.
I just don't have TIME to read through all the transcripts... When Wes took Conner, to protect him from the 'father will kill the son' prophecy, did they know HOW and WHY Conner had been born? Or were they still flying blind at that point?
Anybody who can help me with this i'll....i'll write you a fic?

They knew Darla was the Mom but they didn't really know why I think. After it all happened they found out that the prophecy about the Father killing the son was crap, hence Angel trying to smother Wes with a pillow in the hospital. It wasn't until Jasmine was popped out they found out why Connor was born if I remember correctly. Does that help?

So they were clueless as to who had made it possible for Conner to be born and WHY when Wes took him?
And - did anybody in Sunnydale know about Cordy, Wes, etc.?
Or was that all a total blank? I know Willow told Angel that Buffy was dead, but....did she meet everybody?

I don't think they mention AtS at all in Buffy, other than she visited him and then at the end of season seven. Willow probably knows that Gunn and Cordy and Wes work with him from her visit, but other than that it's like the two groups ignore each other completely. Which is stupid, but that sums up season six and seven so...

Yes, I took a shower today, ta very much! I'm heavy enough that if I didn't feel like tearing myself away from the puter I'd live for a week and I sleep only about four or five hours a day.

From memory, BtVS canon never mentions Angel and Connor, let alone Wesley's role in the whole thing. I think the last time Buffy is mentioned in Angel is at the beginning of S3 (S6 BtVS) when he supposedly goes off to meet Buffy when she's just been resurrected (before they even know Darla is pregnant). After that its S4 when Angelus calls Dawn to discover which Slayer is after him and later in S4 in 'Orpheus' when Willow turns up to re-soul Angelus (middle of S7 BtVS).

One could presume that after Orpheus (I can't remember which S7 Buffy episode it is when Willow get the call to go to LA its round about ep 15) , Willow would have told the BtVS characters the whole story (but we never know that).

p.s I just re-read your question and think I misread it.

The whole of Ats S3 is about finding a pregnant Darla, being with her until she's forced to stake herself so that Connor could be born. So when Wes takes Connor, the whole of the Ats crew know about his birth and his heritage. They, at that point, don't know anything about the prophesy (The Father Will Kill the Son) Wes has been researching though.

The Sunnydale crew, canon wise, are completely oblivious to all the LA goings on though.

It's in "Lies My Parents Told Me" (BtVS 7.17) that Willow receives a phone call from Fred summoning her to LA. She arrives there fully briefed recognizing Connor as "Angel’s handsome yet androgynous son". Fred knew enough to call her and they had at least seen each other upon Fred's return from Pylea when Willow was waiting in the Hyperion to tell Angel about the news of Buffy's death. Buffy and Angel had met shortly after her return (BtVS 6.4 "Flooded" and AtS 3.4 "Carpe Noctem") but that was before Darla's bombshell. How much info/gossip is exchanged between the two groups is never stated in canon. I think you could play it either way.
