Wistful, melancholy, yet beautiful.

Don't worry, things are progressing fine. It's hard when you take out the monstrosity that was Spuffy to reimagine season six, but I think you're maintaining the integrity of the characters, so all's well. Unless your question is more about the direction of the plot. I don't think the story is getting too weird, it makes sense considering the previous chapters, but I would hope for an understanding or a resolution of these "mental breaks" Spike's having. I think the plot would suffer if we belabor the issue.

I found the book excerpts a bit jarring after a while 'cuz my focus would shift from "Changes and its gaggle of characters" to trying to place these excerpts in the context of a story, and understand who the characters are, their relation to one another and what was going on. Perhaps that's what felt off to you? (Supposing that something did, in fact, feel off to you.)

Also, I'd like to see how Buffy finds meaning in her life and/or a reason to enjoy her life since we don't have the expedient of the Spuffy and hating herself. I love the pack, and how it's being redefined, but I'd like to get into more action - dealing with the Troika, Willow's magic issues.

I hope this is helpful. You know I love this series and would keep reading regardless, unless you killed Spike or something crazy like that.

You are so not losing it! This was great, really! Poor Spike, he needs huggles and everyone is giving them to him. I hope Derio sticks around, even if his band leaves. You've got me worried over that! This is just great, you're doing pretty damn good with season six considering that the main plot was ::gags:: spuffy.

Oh, and idea for the Geeky Trio? I expected Xander on the show to know this, different comics come out weekly or monthly. If your addicted you're all but waiting for the shop to open the day they get their comics so you can get yours. The guy who owned the shop would spend the night before pulling comics for regular customers. Just some random information the sane people don't usually know, but I of course do!

I also know that the only member to always be in the JLA is Martian Manhunter, he was a member under the name Red Tornado for a while. See? Geek Knowledge.

::hugs back::

Little bag o'comics? When I had the money, I had a $70 a month habit. Plus graphic novels when they came out special. I collected six different Spiderman titles and eight Batman alone, not including all the other stuff.

::sniff:: I hate being poor, I miss my stuff!

Awesome, I've been waiting for a changes update. I think you're doing just peachy rewritting season 6. Much better storylines than Marti Noxon's. :) The excerpts through me off for a second, but then I felt like they were flowing with the story quite well. Plus its not often that fic!Buffy doesn't grate on my last nerve, but you actually write her in a way that doesn't make me want to have her permanently killed off the story. But, geez, leave me on the edge of my seat why don't you.

More please, soonish please?

::prances off to go read your Credence update::

This chapter felt fine. I tended to skip reading the quotes as I prefer to focus on the story.

I am pleased you've glossed over the troika element as I felt they were definitely the weakest and most annoying element of S6.

I'm a Buffy fan ::no apologies:: and so always get saddened when fics overly bash her character. I am really pleased you are writing her in a much more sympathetic fashion.

As for the plot, well I don't want to suggest anything as having the surprises is what makes reading this fic so enjoyable. But I see no reason why you shouldn't write exactly how you want to - there's no earthly reason to stick to the canon S6 at all. It's your fic after all.

I personally really prefer your take on the seasons especially 6 I like the more back ground aspect rather than the actual event as in cannon being followed if you get my drift, and as for the flaming Troika they were nothing more than an irritating fly that needed to be smooshed good and quick!

I also love the book extracts dotted about they seem to fit very well, well I enjoy them anyway which is all that really concerns me I'm feeling particularly selfish at the mo *g*

And the last part! well I thought I was going to have a panic attack there for awhile and join poor Spike...what the heck is happening to him...lovely to see the whole family/pack gathering around instinctively for comfort.

Great chapter throughly enjoyed.

*smooch*

what if I'm all covered in demon goo or something? What if I forgot to do the dishes?

This was a wonderful reaction from Buffy! From the demonic to the domestic without even a pause for breath. Hee!

You've not lost it at all, sweetie! Not even a little bit. ;o) You've done amazingly well to battle the hideous wrongness that permeated S6. Changes is so much better than canon!

Wow! I like the direction you're going with Spike. I was feeling pretty desperate for our boy, scary bit, that!

I love Tara *so* much! It's great she's such an important part of the family, I love the way you write her.

Good ep, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Please accept this tray of hand made truffles *bows, kisses your hand*

I really like the comment Spike made about how he feels that one cannot be "addicted" to magic, at least according to Dru. How heavy-handed that arc was, and I look forward to reading your version -- I know it will be so much better.
