Loved Tara's continued earth-magic use, and she and Giles destroying the winery.

Major kudos for not making Giles do something as silly as set up Spike to be killed by Wood. Grrrrr. *g*

Great chapter, I hate the eye thing but it does create great angst and go with the flow of the story. I'm just glad Lies My Parents Told me was blown off, cause right now I think the pack would kill Wood if tried anything. Too much tension. Can't wait to see what happens next!! I have a feeling that another shoe is going to be dropped!

Cat cool...

Winning- sad again about Xander's eye BUT love the competence and strength of Spike taking care of him, and Oz and Derio taking care of Spike, and Tara taking care of everyone and everything. In union there is strength, and all.

Love most especially the tribal werecoyotes.

Only trouble is, what do I have to look forward to tomorrow?

Cat looks awesome! I'm deeply envious of his hat. I have a weird thing about pirates. If you every hear about a crazy woman trying to commandeer a ship in Boston harbor, that'll be me. :)

Xander and Spike's pain tears at my heart. I get all sniffly, and my eyes get red and unattractive. I cheered when Buffy lopped of Caleb's head. And the were-coyotes were neat.

Re Changes: I'm glad you showed the trauma and pain of loosing an eye. ME brushed it off like it was nothing in the remaining eps. You also tied things up like the Shadow Box and the Scythe far better than ME did. In your vesrion that whole "from beneath you it devours" would've been a clue for the Slayer, having nothing to do with the Hellmouth or that stupid Seal of Danthazar--was it covering the Hellmouth? or simply a pocket prison full of Turok-han?--ME never was too clear on that, in fact there's a whole lot ME wasn't too clear on in that final season--grr argh.

God, cleaning up Xander was harrowing. I don't even want to think about what kind of research you did to find out the procedures would be.

Huh, Connor didn't go to Kortoth, so no Jasmine, no Connor running wild, no getting Wolfram & Hart, no amulet. How will she wrap this up? I like what you tried to do with the Guardians, but I'm afraid nothing can make up for the "Where the hell did that come from?"-ness of the whole thing.

Well, truthfully, i called my dad and we had another of out 'talks'. He was a Navy medic in WWII and was at Normandy and a few other hotspots. He was also an anesthetist for ages after until he retired, and my mum was a nurse. So medical talk was always an exciting bonus at our house.

No, no cookie-dough. Ick.

And....you'll be surprised, i think, where i go with it all.

Lovely chaper, I've just got caught up.This chapter was so moving very powerful in emotional turmoil. One could almost feel Xander's pain, quite made my eye ache just reading that bit and the packs distress, wonderfully writen.

I was wondering about the medical details, saw in your comments that you got the info from your family -- very interesting! It is good to have this given more weight than an hour-long TV show can give it, especially when something like this happens to someone who is not the "star." This is where fanfic can really shine, make up for the general deficiencies of television, and remind me of why I usually prefer books to TV.
