When i posted the other day, i wanted to post about *one more thing*, and i completely forgot.
So - everybody say 'hello' to the newest member of our family!! *really big picture...that was totally too big. resized!*

Oliver is about nine weeks old. And so, so, so fuzzy. So wee!! He and Jack get along pretty well - they sleep together a lot, and play. Jack's showing him how much fun the recycling can be.
Oliver has the funniest little rusty, complaining meow - he hates to be picked up and dangled, so he'll do his little 'aaoooooow!' sound. Or if he wants in your lap, he'll do it, too. He and Chango have a truce, but no real friendship yet. Surprise surprise.
Also, i signed up for
spn_summergen, and we'll be getting our prompt assignments soon. Can't wait! Friends of ours from Minneapolis are coming down this week to visit, which will be fun. They were here last when we just moved in, so i hope they think all the little things we've done are neat.
Last but not least, under my second cut....
Yes, i mean the new Star Trek. Cat and i went to see it last night. I? Loathe the actor playing Spock, so i was doing my very best to *not* let that affect me. He actually did a good job, considering.
Considering things like the script. I just...really, really, really did not like it. At all. Did not like that Kirk in no way, shape, or form earned the crew's trust. Did not like the utter breech of protocol that was Uhura *abandoning her post* without saying a word to the acting commander/captain or anyone else. Did not like Spock going nuts on Kirk, though he deserved it. Did not like the nothing-there-ness of Sulu and Chekov, and the over-the-top-ness of Scotty. Bones was...eh. He hadn't earned his place on the bridge yet, either - he's supposed to be in the infirmary? Not on the bridge. *sigh*
If you want a more in-depth review, go read
yourlibrarian's post on the subject. She pretty much says exactly what it made me feel. And for the record, i don't think the Kirk and Spock actors are attractive *at all*.
Th-th-th-that's all, folks. :)

He's so *fluffy*. So very, very soft - his fur is like lint or something. And he has a *big* purr.

He looks like my Tweek did as a kitten.

He's a beautiful colour too. Adorable! I do wish I wasn't allergic to so many critters. Fish just aren't cuddly enough. *pouts*

His fur is like *lint*!! SO webby and soft. I'm allergic to cat, myself - i just wash my hands a lot and keep them away from my face and *off* my pillow.

I'm super-keen. I LOVED summergen last year and wrote one of my favouritest stories eva.
I'm just waiting for the day that I get someone I know in a ficathon... heh. I don't think I ever have, it's a thing.

I'm going to see Star Trek tomorrow so I'll see if I agree with your unpopular opinion. I'm rather picky when it comes to this universe, so we'll see, I guess.
