Well, trolling around on my flist, and i followed a link, or maybe two, that somehow got me to jensen_daily. Not a comm i frequent, i admit. But! spg_spn_girls had posted a sort of challenge.

One image, 100 icons. Anybody can join, just post your icon until there are 100. I thought it sounded like fun, so i did it. 1 Image, 100 Icons, 100 lj Users. Pretty cool, eh?

Not the most amazing icon ever, but i enjoyed myself.

I also, in a moment of extreme weakness, joined a challenge. j2_everafter is based on Disney movie plots. Oh, yes. I *wanted* Sleeping Beauty. Even got a bunny-bite, and had about 3000 words written before the prompts were given. I ended up getting Swiss Family Robinson, but am writing *both*, heh. I know, i know - i'm nuts. Oh well! *of course, i had Snow prodding and poking and encouraging me, so, we'll blame her. la la.*

Expect to see my BtVS Sweet Charity fic here within the next couple of days, and the SPN one shortly thereafter. Thank you, my winning bidders, for being so, so, *so* patient!

Otherwise....all is well, life is good, it's raining and windy and oh, by the way, i'm going to go with Snow to Writercon this summer. :)

Ohhhh, yay!

I didn't recognize it for a minute 'cause i always think the full line for the name. We had a book of that song when i was a kid - pictures and the lyrics for the story, and then the music in the back. I still have it - love the picture of the little foxes eating the bones. :)

I really avoided rps for a long time, but lately i've read my share. I'm picky, though.

I'm... well, I feel that, if it's fictional characters, it won't hurt anyone. Sure, some people will be offended, but some always are. But real people? I don't think I'd be comfortable if anyone wrote fic about me, twisting my life, changing my personality, and so it always makes me twitch. I'm fine with people reading and writing RPS, but it's just not for me.

I used to feel that way, actually, but any more, i just don't. The people in rps are so obviously *not* 'those' people. Pretty much everything is made up, and most of the time, it's really just the name-cue so you see the particular actor, you know?

I guess i feel comfortable with the fic i've written that's rps because not only do i know pretty much nothing about the actors - and don't want to know - but the stories i've written are so AU as to be laughable. JA and JP as 1969-era Vietnam soldiers? Really not them.

So i totally get your unease, and in some cases share it - when the story digs into real life stuff and includes whole families and such - but the more AU, cracky stuff i just see as fic, and not even approaching anything that's 'real'.

I got ice cream while I was laid up. The Sarge got it for me special. Just plain vanilla but I haven't had it since basic. It was really good. My first adult vacation and it's to where? Minnesota. There's so much irony . . . but it's a nice city. Very clean. But tiny. You can walk across the business district in ten minutes. Fifteen if you mosey.

But who cares about the city, it's the people! I finally get to annoy some of the flist in person! And they, in turn, get to run away from me screaming!
