I totally loved 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers'. The 1978 version. Scared the bejeezus out of me. The '56 version was creepy, too, but wee!Jeff Goldblum is a favorite of mine. :) And! It *snowed*!! Just a little, and no sticking, but....snow!! Wheeee!


ANYway...now that i'm done blathering - the lovely juice817 made a podfic of 'South China Sea'! So neat. And cybel made a podbook version, with art! So very, very cool. Thank you so much, guys! I'm overwhelmed.

And I'm overwhelmed by the reaction the story's gotten from everyone. Really makes me smile, 'cause i was completely nervous and tweaked about this fic. Just ask Snow! Heh.

I ADORE the new WoW xpansion pack.. so brilliant. My main, a Blood Elf, is level 63 and it was to the point where I really didnt want to do anything more with her.. however, now that there are Death Knights...WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

I just watched that a few weeks ago! It's my favorite Invasion of the Body Snatchers. It's the screams, man, that eerie shriek that really makes the movie. The way they all turn their heads at the same time, like some sorta spooky, fucked up herd animals. And Spock's evol, and the pods are all gross. Hee, JG's so skinny and dorky! And Donald Sutherland! That scream at the end! Poor Veronica Cartwright. This is the way the world ends, not with a bang, but shriek.

Ick! Snow! We're supposed to start getting flurries here--it's already been spitting the shit in Buffalo--but I'm hoping that, as usual, the weathermen are wrong.

I hear any art is only great in relation to the uncertainty of the artist. It means you've done something original, gone into uncharted territory. You're nervous because you've surpassed some previous standard or limit.

WoW. . . . Beware! WoW is a harsh mistress. I had a friend that used to literally make me watch him play that, and Everquest. I only put up with it because he was giving me free guitar lessons, lol.

I'm thinking the 'i don't write rps' limit was quite a bit of it! I actually *have*, in the past, but it was so cracky and utterly not 'real' it didn't feel like anything. This was also 'not real' but it felt...different. Whatever the reason, i'm glad i did it.

Cat's been an EverQuest and WoW player for a long time. And City of Heroes and everything else, really. He gets online with his brother and friends from the shop and they just go for it. Those games make me rather nauseated, actually. I can't watch for long or play at all.

Flan! I've never had flan. I must try some day....
