Well, Sweet Charity is over, and i was flattered and impressed by my bids! An actual almost-kinda bidding war! Wheeee!
So, in the near future there will be a new BtVS fic going up here, starring Faith. And a new SPN fic here, also, a timestamp of my 'Treadmill' story. Unless something else comes along and smacks me in the head with inspiration. *My auction winners were very 'here's some ideas but run with whatever! which is cool*
I'm really looking forward to writing these! And thank you, everyone, for bidding! The Charity pulled £5078.83 - which is almost nine-thousand dollars! Whoo hoo! Awesome.
In other exciting news - we got a new kitten! Friends of ours in a nearby town run the animal shelter, and brought this guy up as a bit of a 'sweetener' on a getting a tattoo done. Heee.
He's currently about 13 weeks old - we got him when he was about nine. This picture is from the first couple days, so he's a bit bigger now. And his eyes aren't really 'gold', they're more a browninsh bronze - very pretty!
Jack in the Lair.
Monstrous calls him 'Jack the Sprat' and we also call him Jack the Ripper, Jack Horner, Jackie Chan...the list is endless!
And tonight - boys!! *see icon!* I'm all a-twitter.
:)
ETA: I meant to say - welcome to any and all new friends! I don't get a notification when someone friends me, and i almost never check to see if anyone has, but i got a note today from a new friend and thought i'd just say something. Hello and welcome! Feel free to say hello or whatever - hope you enjoy the posts!

I love your icon!
He's very adorable. Until he leaps up my thigh while i'm in my robe. Ow!

Oh that kitty is *adorable*. It's insane how fast small baby critters grow though. And you'll be the perfect one to ask, how hard is it to raise a kitty?
Faith sounds interesting, dunno what you're thinking but something with Faith and Xander would be interesting. I always wished they would have poked more at their relationship on the show. *shrugs* :)

And personally, i think raising kitties is very, very easy. My biggest bit of 'advice', though, is to always have at least two. One kitty alone gets *very* bored unless you're home to pay attention to them a lot. Two kitties, particularly raised together, are best buds and can entertain each other and take care of each a bit, and will leave your house in much less of a shambles.
A bored kitty is a dangerous kitty. :) But yeah, any questions at all, ask! I love cats and have had them all my life, literally.

Yes, he is!
Does that little back-arched hysterical sideways pounce thing all over pencils and paper balls and the other cats, heee!

And he's pretty damn sweet, when he's not being a monster. He likes very much to be up on your shoulder/neck and just *puuuuuurrrrrrrrrrr*.
Our two older cats barely purr at all, so it's nice.
:)
*waves madly*
Hey! Hi! How are you!

KITTY! Our newest has brownish-bronze eyes, too, they go really well with her coloring.
Thursday=best day of the week, for sure. *nods decisively*

Ya! I'm glad you're feeling good about your prompts, since you were freaked about how many you inadvertently offered. :)
*i'm feeling good about them, too....*

Jack likes to hang out on my lap, too. Or my shoulder, which makes typing even *more* difficult.
Scratch is kind of sick, so he's mostly unhappy with kitten. He never got along with the outside cats we took care of, though - he's prickly.
Chango likes him well enough. He gets annoyed sometimes, but they play and stuff, too, so it's all good.

He likes it 'cause it's warm, i guess. He comes upstairs and sits on Cat's tower, too, when he can. Mine, fortunately, has stuffed birds on it and so is too 'full' for sitting.

I had *no idea* what you were talking about, until i realized you meant the laptop in the picture. That's actually my SO's laptop - i have a desktop and to be honest, i don't like lappy keyboards *at all*. Too small and too straight. The keyboard i use at my desk is ergonomic, curved and nice and so amazingly comfortable. I would *never* use anything else if i had the choice.
My SO isn't 100 percent thrilled with the keyboard, but he does a lot of gaming with it, rather than typing, so it's not as big an issue for him.

My old dog is at the top age for his breed amd sleeps most of his days away and I'm so not looking forward to losing him, so I tend to get emotional when I read of some-one losing a beloved pet. I know I'm going to be mess when his time comes. We also have two elderly cats. I feel so much sympathy for you, beyond words.
*hugs you hard*

There are no 'rules'.
*hugs back*
I just knew that my flist is an amazing group of people, and i couldn't face all the comments they'd inevitably leave. I was - and still am, a bit - feeling fragile.
It sucks to know that 'the day' is around the corner. It sucks to see signs, like your dog, sleeping more and more. I just...bah.
Sucks all 'round. Thanks, bay-bee.
