Yes, Sweet Charity is launching another auction starting the 29th of September, and running 'til the 4th of October.

I'm offering two fics, one in the Buffy or Angel fandom, one in the Supernatural fandom. You can see all the details here.

The auction this time around goes to Invisible Children, who aid and support the children of the long-term and ongoing war in Uganda.

So please, hit the site, check out the offerings, and bid if you can - every little bit helps! There's a lot of wonderful things on offer, more than just fic, so have a look!

I go AWOL for a couple of weeks. . . .

Just as well I didn't get a chance to bid. If I'd won, I'd have asked for Riley Finn/S3-Ruby with mentions of Buffy/Spike, and I don't think that would've turned out well. . . .

All joking aside, great charity, and after the great wisdom tooth round up of aught-eight, I should have some spare bread to donate.

And, you know...i owe you for *so* long with a fic that you got in that fire_fic, but man...i just don't think i can write that pairing. You asked for Simon/Jayne and getting ready for a fancy dress dinner and man, i just can't even *see* them as a couple, much less being...nice to each other. Heh. I dunno. I've thought and thought about it, and tried to see it in my head but it's never gotten more than a sentence or two along without dying the death.

I'm afraid, if you ever want your fire_fic, you're gonna have to think of something else you want.

Dude--lol, they're really the only couple I can see slashing on that show. Other than them, the only couple I would read is Zoe/Wash, cuz they're just so awesome.

Simon/Jayne is the ultimate guilty pleasure. They're so--so mismatched, they'd be perfect for each other. And I've read some really good S/J, too. Dude! I have links!

I think they just don't have the balls to do it. But you do.

Maybe post-NFA, sole survivor!Gunn (or thinks he is), somehow gets taken in by the Scoobs, disorientation, survivor guilt, bonding/hijinks with Andrew, kissage, or almost kissage--preslash, whatever, just as long as signs point to some Gunn/Andrew.

Frankly, you can do whatever you want with the fic, these are just suggestions. If you can pull off Gunn/Andrew in any form, take the story wherever you like--funny, angsty, Pluto--whatever.

Hell, I half wanna write this thing, myself.

But if Gunn/Andrew is squicky--philistine--how 'bout Xander/Giles, post-Chosen, realizing they have ze feelings for each other? I basically just heart Tabaqui-fic, in any form. Feel free to surprise me.

I love Jayne/Mal. Just rough, crazy, whenever sex 'cause they're bored or pissed off or whatever. They don't cuddle, they don't sweet talk, they don't even like each other all that much. But sometimes, man...they just get this itch..... And then Mal's shoving Jayne down on his knees and Jayne's going 'cause yeah, he just needs to get lost in it for a while and....

I could almost--almost--see Simon/Mal. Almost. It'd be very Dom/sub, in a weird sort of way. Mal's such an alpha male, and Simon smells nice. They'd have this ritualized sort of way of being together--not stilted, just kinda formal.

Huh. I think I just found another slashy pairing for Firefly :)

But a truly solid pairing needs snark, and Simon/Jayne snark is the best to be had in the whole 'verse.

Lol, I meant it, though, when I said feel free to surprise me. Any pairing, any setting or theme. Go wild. If I have squicks other than character bashing, I can't think of them offhand.

But dude, I think I'm gonna try to write that Gunn/Andrew thing myself. Or some kinda Gunn/Andrew. I've been mulling it over for three years. Time for the rubber to meet the road.
