Yeah, i kinda wondered about the curse. Although - could sex ever AGAIN equal perfect happiness? It seemed like a rather stupid idea in the first place, and then - after it had happened... Ah well. Yeah, season five was awfully grumpy and doomy and woe-is-me. I watched because of Spike but was terribly, TERRIBLY disappointed with what they did. You got it exactly right - they wrote him to play the fool, and that was just - wrong. And yeah, the cavemen/astronaught argument was kinda funny, but when stuff like that just went on and on....Blah. And, i know, i'm a Spike fan, but would Angel REALLY just dismiss what he did in Sunnydale (dying and stopping the First) and his soul so casually? So PETTILY? I mean - that was dumb.
*sigh* Another reason i like fanfic - this stuff can be fixed! Nice post, by the way - interesting stuff. :) I'm trying to borrow my sis-in-law's 'Angel' dvds but she has one missing from season one and that sucks. Trying to figure out how to fix that. hehe.
