Hello!
First, a belated but nonetheless heartfelt greeting to
sweptawaybayou. Many happy returns of the day! Luff ya, bb. :)
Second - Show! Wheeeee! I had such a blast watching. Watched again with
darkhavens and it was just as awesome the second time around.
First - Dean + suit = OTP. Omg. Waistcoat. Tie pin. Cufflinks. SHOULDER HOLSTER. My glee could not be contained. The hair, the hat, the coat! And Dean is such a *kid*. Playing at dress up and cops and robbers still, so damn *stoked* to be with a movie hero, he just....
*flails*
Breaks your heart a little. Reminds me of a line from 'Captains Courageous': "That's the way we all begin," said Tom Platt. "The boys they make believe all the time till they've cheated 'emselves into bein' men, an' so till they die - pretendin' an' pretendin'."
Also - how awesome is Sheriff Jodi? So awesome. I luff her. Her voice breaking when she said Bobby's name, the first time, in her car. Oh! *sniffles*
And helping Sam, and her 'mom voice' and wanting to get drunk and play 'remember when'.....
AND! And. Anime! IT'S AN ART FORM. Whoooooooooot! I luff. And Dean getting some mad skillz from Frank and impressing Sam and Sam all 'show me!!' Heee!
And Sam's bed-flop. His haaaaaaair. It seemed to have a life of its own. And he totally vindicated me! I was having a discussion on fanficrants about the 'old gods' power in the Show 'verse and i said belief=power and that's why Lucifer could defeat them so easily. And Sam vindicated me! Wheee!
*cough*
Yes, i am petty. Anyway - enjoyed the hell out of the episode as i am enjoying the hell out of the season. :)
In other news...we got snow! It lasted about three days, heh. Now the yard is a glorious mud hole that Annalee the gog delights in plowing around in. Even though it's been below freezing most nights and some days, the moles are apparently still active and she goes nuts trying to dig them up. Freakin' moles.
I have decided that 2012 shall be the year of finishing the stuff in the WIP folder! After i post my
rekindlespangel fic on the 21st. So hopefully, more fic from me this year! I'm also contemplating signing up for the
spn_j2_bigbang this year. I just need to be totally sure i have a story that will fulfill the word count minimum.
Hope the new year is treating you all well - be safe, have fun! Oh and - anyone out there watching Pan Am?
*smooches*

I NEED that drunk 'remember when...?' episode. Or possibly fic. It would be an AWESOME comment fic meme thing: Reply to this post with a 'remember when...?' about Bobby, as recounted by a drunk Dean, Sam or Jodi. *g*
I TOTALLY AGREE! I shall start!!

Neither was doing a really good job and Sam wondered if Jody would allow herself to topple onto Dean or not.
"Hey, guys, remember - remember that time that summer, that hot summer -"
"'Cause normally summer's were s'fuckin' - f-fudgin' - cold," Dean said, squinting sideways at Jody, who was shaking her head slowly, one hand lifted as if to say 'stop'.
"Fuckin's a perfectly good word. I don't like fudge."
"How can you not like fudge?" Dean asked, and Sam grabbed a balled up piece of paper and threw it at them both. It bounced off Dean's foot.
"Hey! Was talkin'! Remember that reeeeeeeally hot summer when we talked Bobby into puttin' that...that...in the window, that...air - thingy - you know...rrrrrrrrrr" Sam flapped his hands around, making a whirring noise, and Jody doubled over in hiccuping snorts.
Dean rolled his eyes. "The window unit. The AC. Yeah, I 'member that. Fuu-ck it was...hot up there, like a f-fuckin' sauna up there."
"Yes! Yeah, that, AC. And he let us put it in but he told us - told us to shim it real...good but we forgot and - rrrrrrrrrrr...boom!"
"Boom!" Dean echoed, snorting, and then Sam was laughing, listing sideways in his seat until he was mostly on the floor, ass in the air, and Dean was giggling helplessly, tears running down his face.
"What? What - boom, what - what happened?" Jody asked. She was struggling upright again and Dean gave her an over-enthusiastic shove and she slid right off her chair and onto the floor on the other side. "Ow!"
"Ohshit," Dean muttered, and Sam wheezed.
"The AC thing fell on - fell on this junker Pinto Bobby was - was stripping down and just - crushed the hell outta it and it was so loud and Bobby was in the - in the shower -" Sam pushed himself back up into his chair, wiping at his face, and Jody lay down flat on her back, hands waving in the air.
"Oh my god. A Pinto? Oh my god."
"No, no!" Dean crabbed around on the floor until he was close to Jody, sitting with one leg bent up under him. "No, I mean - Pinto - but no, the best part, the best part - we ran downstairs to s-see and Bobby - "
"Bobby was in the shower." Sam's voice went up an octave and he coughed. "He ran out yellin' and he didn't - didn't even - grab a towel and -"
"And there were no suds," Dean finished, solemn, and then burst out laughing again, falling over onto Jody's feet.
"My eyes!" Sam squeaked, and Dean pounded a fist on the floor.
"We ran so fast - we were more scared a'seein' that much of Bobby than the AC and he chased us and we just - kept runnin'"
"The neighbor's eyes," Sam choked out, and Dean's laughter went to nearly-inaudible hissing and Sam started a slow crawl over to him to pound him on the back.
Jody blinked up at the ceiling, idly kicking at Dean with her squashed feet. "Would'a...liked t've seen...that...."
