It all seems to be dying down, thank the GODS, and i'm actually med free today! And med-hangover free!
I feel like DOING things! Housework! Writing! Skipping around the yard singing 'tra-la'!
*ahem*
And then, i had to go into the newspaper office and try to find a back issue. Standing in a windowless rooms with fifty years worth of musty newspapers on every side 'bout did me in.
WHEN did i get so sensitive? Kansas did this to me. Our time in Kansas changed me, and not for the better!
Well, but, Strawberry Creme Slush from Sonic made me feel better. :)

With luck, i'll have something INTERESTING to write about soon...

Must go research Santeria funeral traditions and find some nice, depressing Scottish wake songs or something.

I think I may have some Celtic funeral stuff somewhere or other on my computer if it will help you. And I know there are some groups on Yahoo that have info on things like that where you can just ask and they send you oodles of stuff!

Hey, I saw you dropped by my journal, and I had to return the favor. XD Your story about standing in a windowless room full of 50 years of newspapers is a funny coincidence: my friend is the local historical archivist at the library here in my town, and she just got a donation of about 100 years worth of newspapers, dating back to about 1880. Fascinating stuff! But, oh boy, the boxing and the sorting and the wrapping we had to do. And of course, since I'm her friend AND I'm unemployed, I was pretty much volunteered to help. :p

I know... *sigh* I just...had really big hopes for getting two fics done that i've been sitting on for like...months. Almost three months!And what i've written on one i HATE, just LOATHE but can't seem to fix, and the other is good but...I'm not sure where i'm going. I'm just...frustrated. I SO want 'letters' and 'little runaway' OUT there -i really like what i have so far but suddenly i'm just STUCK.
Grrrrr.
So, a little bummed and a little pissed, and trying hard to do SOMETHING before my hiatus is up.

Have you tried showing what you've got so far to someone else and asking them what they think is wrong with it? A different pair of eyes might help. Do you have a beta or someone to bounce ideas off?
