Yay!
Mostly, this is because [livejournal.com profile] julia_here posts such lovely images all the time, so i'm finally reciprocating.

Also, just random updatey-ness. First, let me pimp. [livejournal.com profile] reremouse is posting her excellent season six fic, The Last Days of Rome. What can i say about this fic? It's about being alone when you're not supposed to be and hating what you're doing but not knowing how to stop, and finding what you need in the last place you look. Go - read - love.

Also, over at [livejournal.com profile] trufflemouse, find And Let The Gods Do the Rest. [livejournal.com profile] reremouse and [livejournal.com profile] savoytruffle do a spin on Xander and Oxnard, Spike and the soul, apocolypses, Hellmouths, and riding the bus. Yes! Go!

Myself, i'm busily writing all sorts of stuff, and hope to have some fic up here soon. Very soon.
It's been raining here for days, and is very, very chilly and windy here today. Not much like the usual May weather but i very much like it.

Now, the pictures! I'm posting outside links since they're big and the last time i opened Photosheep, it managed to crash and then make my computer act like it was about a million years old. Slooooooow and screwy. So - no more Photosheep, probably, until i can get a new HD. Gah!

Purple and white iris.
Dark mauve iris.
Rhodedendrons.
Pale pink azalea.
Dark pink azalea.

And that is that! :)
*hugs you all*

Oh, oh, those are *beautiful*. Are they from near your house? *is incredibly jealous*

Gods, those are amazing!!! Your iris look beautiful. Makes me wish we still had some. I can't get Rhodies to grow well in our yard. Just not the right conditions. Now, the azalea, we keep threatening to pull out since it's behaving like a weed... *smirks*

Can you send some rain here? We got 90+ degree weather and I'm already tired of it. *laughs* I know, for a native Californian, I am so not in my element!

don't mind the humidity. But I'm far enough in from the coast that we don't get humidity. After months and months of rain, the sudden dry air irritates my sinuses. I'm one of those apparently rare asthmatics who does great in humid weather.

*kicks self* of course, I would hit the wrong key. Seattle is where I'd planned to move before the universe decided otherwise.

Those are all so pretty. Iris is one of my favorite flowers, my Grandmother use to have so many at her house and the smell was just wonderful. Lilacs are another favorite, we had a huge hedge of them with lily of the valley underneath, well there still there as far as I know but I never get up there so maybe not. I doubt you can grow those in South Carolina, oh well thanks for sharing the pretties.

Oh, those are some very good iris; I think the first one is "Spinning Wheel" although I could be wrong.

Those azaleas are particularly pretty. You make me want to go back through my photo albums and look at all the garden pictures in the days when we had one.

Your dark pink azaela is GORGEOUS! I envy, pretty, pretty. I also love the iris photos so much, I know nothing of horticulture, but the colors and just the structure of the blooms are amazing. So pretty.

Those are all beautiful! Nothing is blooming here except my dicentra, and not much of that. It's raining, raining, raining. Well, some people have *some* azaleas blooming, but the rain took the blooms off very quickly.

*sigh*

I love your iris pics! My mother had purple and rust iris planted all around our house where I grew up. Big smile on my face, remembering.

Thanks for sharing,

Highfield

Iris' I absolutely love them! You can't kill 'em, and so much bang for the buck--so to speak. Er-hem.
