And i love Spike telling Xander 'his story' because - while maybe Spike would underestimate his vulnerability or some of the dumb things he did, he'd also know that the truth of the matter is more important than making Xander's life 'look good'.
When he *remembers*, he'll also remember what was left out, and that might not be good. So, no lies, no half-truths, but like he said - he doesnt' know *everything*. :)
