YAY! Tags! Tags make me happy, and also distract me from the fact that I've been staring at an unfinished sentence in the MOP ficathon story and it just refuses to go anywhere.

Julia, because the stupid plot just hit a rock or something and went running off in an unexpected direction

Need more, more, more! I'd read all of 'Where There's Smoke' up till a couple of weeks ago (and hadn't really liked it all that much, I thought it was getting a bit off track with all the stories of past abuses, and it felt like people were unnecessarily trying to cram all the characters into their lives or past's somehow), but hadn't ever heard of 'Shaking Through'. I lurk on your journal and read all your stuff, so I clicked on the link, traced my way back to the beginning and spent the last couple of hours reading the whole thing. Gotta say I loved it - the rape storyline is just awful and absolutely cringeworthy (its a nasty reminder of all the bad guys out there in the real world), but I love, love, LOVE the Spike/Xander interaction, the way they're growing closer together as they deal with it and are helping Dawn so much, there's so much sweetness and tenderness there, its beautifull (and its just exactly what poor Dawn needs). The story really touches on something that I think the scooby gang conveniently overlook a lot of the time - that there are humans out there just as evil and cruel as any demon could be, and having a soul or being a human being does not automatically mean you're one of the good guys (just as not having a soul does not make you pure evil - Spike is all sorts of shades of grey). I love that Xander is seeing this, and is willing to do something about the bad guys out there, even though they're human. I want more of this story!! I'll check out the other two you're going to add to tomorrow, but I gotta say I really, really hope you do more with this one too (and hopefully other people will start adding to it as well!) If I say pretty please will you write some more for me?? Please? Pretty please with cherries on top?
PS I had to borrow my sisters livejournal username to post this, as your journal wouldn't accept an anonymous post -

Ooops! damn, I tried to post 5 times, was about to type in the last bit about anonymous things not going through, and go and hastle my sister for her password when I decided to give it one last shot - and bam! It works! and I hadn't even finished my sentence! Livejournal is wierd!

Went and read 'Where There's Smoke...', from the beginning to where you left off, and I've got to say you left me with such a perfect set up on [livejournal.com profile] wts_tagstory to have a play myself... hope this is what you were angling for when you left it hanging XD
