Yup. Doin' the pimping thing. But hey! Can't help it. When you make someone go all stalkery and funny on you, and they write you a hilarious little Spandery ficlet - what else can you do?

So hurry and read Crazy About the Boy by [livejournal.com profile] sottovoce10!

Also, because it was just Eostre and pretty much spaced it to the point that the Easter Bunny left Monstrous Bebe's basked OUTSIDE... *Yes, i crouched in the carport with the basket and the bag-o-goodies, assembling her basket while pretending to take out the trash. I am lame, kill me now.*
Anyway, just for that, here's the eggs we dyed, and Monstrous and her Daddy. :)

Very pretty, I particularly like the pale blue one at the front with the daisy on it.

PS. Talk about vista in the second pic. You must love your back yard :)

Thank you so much for reccing this fic! It was hilarious and exactly what I needed today!

The dyed eggs are gorgeous! I can't believe I didn't even think of painting eggs for Easter!

Wow, the eggs look great. And Monstrous is still as adorable as ever. :)

Wow. I could just see that eggs picture being used as a greeting card for Easter. Fantastic job!

Thanks for sharing these nice pictures. Your family is lovely. Those gorgeous eggs show you all have artistic tendencies.

Glad it gave you a giggle ;-) And what gorgeous piccies, those glowing eggs. So sweet, all the crouching in the carport. That just made me grin like a fool.

Is that Aubrey Beardsley in the first pic? An illustration on a mirror? I have one that I got in the Lanes in Brighton lots of years ago which I must reframe and put out somewhere. Pretend it's retro when it's just stuff left over from years of.

"the WORST MOTHER ON THE PLANET"

You are definitely not that!
Maybe the best...

I kinda figured that you were into the whole Mucha thang. You know, what with your wallpaper and all:-)

I always thought that it was so bizarre that virtually all of his art is advertisements. Everything from the pre-raphaelites through to Art Deco makes me a happy-happy woman.

What a gorgeous homey-looking house. For perfect home just add family:-)

Your daughter is so beautiful. She looks like she's having a great time. Hubby too. I'm jealous of how great your dyejobs turned out. Our always look like a splendid mess. LOL

Beautiful eggs! How do you get the different colors? I know how to get the rings of different colors, but how, for example, do you get the orange lines running down the reddish egg?

Hey, don't feel bad about forgetting the basket, it happens to us all. Good for you for coming up with a "Mom Save Maneuver."

My little one, after having a good time going through his basket, came into the kitchen with a sad look on his face. He said, "Mommy, I think the Easter Bunny didn't bring you or Daddy anything." It didn't take long to reassure him that we were OK with this -- we had a stash of jellybeans for the grownups.

See, I'm stupid. I knew the crayon worked to keep the egg *white* -- it never occurred to me to dye the egg with a color *first*, then use the crayon to keep it that color and dip it in another color.

*smacks forehead*

Next Easter, I'll try this. Thanks for clueing me in.

Loved the recommended fiction, almost as much as I love the pictures of Cat and mini-cat. Beautiful (the family & the eggs!) Cindy Lee

Beautiful dye jobs on the eggs. I have no kids so I don't get to do it anymore, but we used to do the wrap things on them. I remember we had rainbow brite ones and Smurf ones. It was like finding little sprites in the grass when we hunted. Also, love the table the eggs are on. I know, it's probably just a junk table or some such, but I love old patinas on wood. They tell interesting stories.

As for the pimpage? Thanks so much! That was hilarious!
