ALSO - someone - several someones - on my flist or LJ in general rec'd some mystery/cop type books in which 'our hero' is a gay man. They sounded good, but i've lost the titles/author name. Anyone? Anyone? Beuhler?
Thanks.

I'd also recommend Reginald Hill's series of mysteries featuring Andy Dalziel and Peter Pascoe. The gay man is a secondary character, Sergeant Wield, but he's a consistent presence in the novels and a character of much coolassness. One of the best books in the long-running series is On Beulah Height. You can get what's going on even if you haven't read the earlier ones. (Although you will inevitably want to read all of them, because they're great.)

I hope this is of some use.

"It's like a bloody tease. It's like, "Here's what a bottle of Jack would look like if you actually had one," or, "here's a drink, but it's very far away." - Spike
I love Spike. I really, really do.
