I meant to reply earlier but got sidetracked. I don't like the reboot'verse either. I recall we had quite an exchange back in '09 as we were in the minority in not liking it. I went to see the new one as a sheer act of masochism and posted my review here (http://shakatany.livejournal.com/417585.html). I've read that the actors have signed on for three movies so we'll probably get one more in '16 in time to celebrate 50 years of ST. Hopefully J.J. Abrams will be busy ruining the Star Wars'verse and someone else will be given the movie and do a better job with it (hope does spring eternal *sigh).
