Hullo flist...
Any of you lovely people actually living in Seattle? Or, did one of you live there and have a good memory of it?
I have a question about the Delridge area in West Seattle and the 'net is just not helping.
Please please, tonight or tomorrow, email, comment, or YM me. *jynxx327*

Cat is DJing with his MP3's and i'm currently listening to 'Herod's Song' from 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. As sung by Alice Cooper.
God, i love that man.

Would that be Mr. Cooper for singing the song or Mr. Cat for playing it?
*smile*

Strictly an East Coast girl here, sorry I can't help with your research.

::Waves hand in the air::
I live in Seattle! I don't live in West Seattle, but I'll figure it out for you anyway. What's the question?

I love that song! ::is a musicals geek::

::sings:: So, you are the Christ, you're the great Jesus Christ.
Prove to me that you're divine; change my water into wine.
That's all you need do, then I'll know it's all true.

The stage version? SO much better than that stupid film they did ::rolls eyes::

I saw it when I was in England. I cried my eyes out at the sad bits. ::sigh:: For a person who doesn't cry easily in RL, films and fiction and plays really get to me. And the actors where brilliant!

Tabaki asked: K...mostly i'm wondering what Delridge is like? It says something about 'two forested ridges'... are there really?

Mostly house covered now, but still quite a few trees -- one thing I can say about Seattle is *yea* for all the greenbelts.

And is the Duwamish Waterway attractive or all industrial or what?

Mainly industrial -- though there's been a big push over the past 17 years to clean it up. It's pretty nasty by the West Seattle Bridge and as you make your way south along it, the industrial phases out and you see homes along it along with lots of greenery.

Ever been to the Junction?

Yep -- small kitchy shopping center -- used to have the coolest porn/biker shop on the main drag called DogBreath's. It was where I rented and watched my first gay porn (Jeff Stryker -- pretty but stupid). Fairly cool indie record shop there, resturants, used book store and typical stuff.

I've lived all over the south end of the Seattle area and then to the north (Bothell).
