Oh, this is brilliant! Every section, I just devoured and got so involved in. Really, I was absorbed from the first sentence. Great job!

I love the little hints and references to the way the show played out and the differences here. Sam, always a part of the Pack, instead of going to Stanford. Ellen's thoughts there at the end brought that to mind. She wondered if they'd ever dreamed of something else. Some other life.

And John's so much more. . . *wild* and reckless here. His exit from the Roadhouse was just disturbing. This Winchester clan is simply terrifying, and I found myself echoing Ellen's sentiments a lot. *We* know how they are with each other and the good that's in all of them, the drive to help and rectify, but. . . man, these guys are badasses and off-putting, deliberately so, but still.

And I'm glad Sam and Dean kinda faded away after ol' Yellow Eyes was killed. They have each other, and I love that you left it open-ended. Perfect.

Also, John watching Ellen's reaction to what I've come to call the "Pool Table Grope" was classic! Makes you wonder, if he was so comfortable-seeming with his boys hanging all over each other in public. . .

And thank you for writing Ellen's first encounter with them! I think that section is honestly my favorite, but it's all wonderful. Everyone was pitch perfect throughout the whole piece, and the story is awesome. You are scarily talented and I'm glad to see so many comments here. You deserve these and many more!!! Thank you for posting this!

Well done!
